That was so sweet my teeth hurt, but it was just perfect! I love seeing the side of Sesshomaru you portray when he is younger. It gives his character as an adult more depth. Sometimes it is difficult for me to remember that when little Sesshomaru grows up he attempts to melt Kagome, but when I do that act makes so much more sense than just a 'you're in my way human' sort of thing.
I also really enjoy seeing Hisoka and picking out the mannerisms Sesshomaru picks up from him. It's neat to see how much he emulates the cat, and shows how much distance Sesshomaru and his family have between them.
You've really been doing a wonderful job. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Darrakk (Chapter 59) - Fri 02 Jul 2010
Oh love it! Sesshoumaru's first laugh maybe. So cute, so sweet. Hope Hisoka tells Kagome how special it was.
Samantha (Chapter 59) - Fri 02 Jul 2010
That was beyond precious! I loved this chapter so touching. I can imagine now how the older Sesshoumaru must feel now looking back knowing who she was the small bit of sunshine she brought into his life. This story is just so darn good! I can't wait for the next chapter I will be sad though when the last chapter is written but at the same time I dieing for it LOL!
Fox (Chapter 59) - Fri 02 Jul 2010
Beautiful! One of my favorite chapters so far to be sure! I was giggling like mad, and my sister was just totally confused and staring at me like I was crazy.
(Chapter 59) - Fri 02 Jul 2010
aww, that was so sweet. This reminded me on when i was learning to swim and the games i played. Thinking about your plot and the plot of the series, Rin reminded Sesshoumaru a lot of Kagome from when he was a child. I love this connection. I also love how you show Sesshoumaru to be sweet and innocent yet very much the youkai that he is. Now quoting Charles Dickens "Please Sir, I would like some more." hehe ;)
Vanja (Chapter 59) - Fri 02 Jul 2010
This one was absolutely breath-taking!!
Aw. That's cute. I like the comparision to a speckled egg. :)
Saki-chan (Chapter 58) - Fri 02 Jul 2010
This is so cute! I recently acquired the link to your stories from a friend who was positively entraced by Unspoiled. She suggested it to me and I enjoyed the first few chapters so much I seem to have read them far into the night!
I love that your writing style is so smooth and comprehensive despite the fact that the story itself starts and stops at such an intermittent pace according to the challenge. The clever connections you've hidden throughout the past, farther past, and current time are also rather intriguing. I am, hovever, a fan of stories that are actually rounded to have a beginning, middle, and end, so I was wondering if Kagome was going to be finding her way back to the Bone Eater's Well sooner or later? I noticed that Sesshomaru mentioned that she left the summer after he reached 100 years and that summer happens to be showing its face in the far past... I am not trying to say that I wish for the story to be ove, only that I hope it will not be left completely open-ended.
Regardless of that, I have become an avid fan of your work and will most likely be reading at least a few of you other stories soon.
(Chapter 58) - Thu 01 Jul 2010
this was cute! A dog's curiosity never ends. Sesshoumaru is just too adorable when he becomes curious and seeing him as a child is very refreshing.
This is soo cute :) I read it about 10 times and each time, by the time I had finished, I had a happy little smile on my face. Don't ask me why, but this chapter just makes me super happy! Also, since I don't review often (may the curse of unappreciating readers fall upon my head) I would just like to say how much I appreciate you style. It's nice to have a story that updates so often, and your words are so few that it makes each one extra special. Good day :D
Lauren (Chapter 58) - Wed 30 Jun 2010
That was a sweet chapter. I like how you've continually shown Sesshomaru's maturity, even in such childish moments. Instead of touching Kagome's nose and assuaging his curiosity, Sesshomaru properly restrains himself, respecting protocol, and asks permission as not only one of his station should, but as a proper member of youkai society. I love how Sesshomaru equates the attractiveness of Kagome's markings to Ah Uh's egg. It tells us how much he's come to care for her. As a person - not as his property.

“You are like a speckled egg.” is my fav line.
This was so adorable.
Saeko (Chapter 58) - Wed 30 Jun 2010
*Sigh* I despair of EVER getting an actual chapter out of you.
I love your story, but I HATE drabbles!!! They're too short!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this chapter! Sesshoumaru is so adorably cute. Please hurry with the next chapter. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Yohko (Chapter 58) - Wed 30 Jun 2010
Another CUTE chapter! Keep it up. :D
Rocks (Chapter 58) - Tue 29 Jun 2010
Loves the little cute Sesshomaru so innocent and curious!
Sala (Chapter 58) - Tue 29 Jun 2010
Ah, yes. All women delight in being compared to eggs. It just makes us all jittery inside. LOL!
loveyaa (Chapter 58) - Tue 29 Jun 2010
I wonder how you come up with these such little but touching moments. I am amazed that you come up with these moments individually and then somehow tie them together. Well you are doing a great job of capturing...everything. Even if this continued on I think I would be ok with it. Thanks for giving us something that we look forward to and draws us in as it seems little Sesshoumaru is drawing Kagome in and vice versa as well :)
Haha, what every girl dreams of! Being compared to a speckled egg ^_^ hehe. That was a charming chapter. Keep up the good work!
