That must've been terrible. More so once he grew up and came to understand why he was sent away and then internalized the lack of trust he undoubtedly felt his parents had for him, shown by sending him away. Hopefully Kagome doesn't try too hard to fix their relationship when his mother shows. That would be awkward and not really her place.

LOL man I bet Sesshomaru wanted to know what Kagome and his uncle was talking about that had him laugh I think Kagome being herself does wonders for people hell it worked for Sesshomaru.  Wow they did a lot to make sure Orihimi felt welcome and safe by use of ramps and rails. So Sesshomaru was afraid Kagome would leave him for his cousin...  He had little faith in her, but even with or without the marking Kagome wouldn't leave his side.  Not even for the cousin.  Can't wait to read more.

Love this story so far, if that wasn't obvious. You're original characters are colorful and interesting bmand they always manage to fit seamlessly into your story and the dynamics 

They're very alike. It's god that he can see the humor in the situation and the parallel. 

I wonder what this title was that was she'd, yet allowed for the family to retain an army to protect it. Or is that why the army was at the border to begin with??? Hmm... Intriguing.

This is awesome.  They are both reminiscing how their mates tried to kill each other.   I can't wait to see Natsu tease Sesshomaru about this.
