Japanese Translation Help 14 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 22
Hi all, happy Sunday! I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a translation. Basically what I need is the Japanese equivallent of "John Doe" or the term they use when a hospital has a patient they can't identify or the police have someone they can't identify. If anyone has a clue what this would be I would be eternally greatful for the help!!

With a bit of research i found this:
Japanese: In Japan, the name Nanashi No Gombe is used as a joke when a person forgets to write their name on an application or a test, etc. Loosely translated it means No-Name Gombe and its an inference on the stupidity of a person for forgetting their name.

They said it was like a John Doe
