I know some other people have posted saying they can't get into the chat, but they managed to use the other link that someone posted. I found that link (dokuga.com/index2.php?option=com_jpfchat) but when I try to use that one, it tells me I have to sign in to use the chat. The chat link itself on the top of the page takes me to the "Yes I will abide by all Miss K's rules or she will take me out back and let the Opossom chew on my innards", click the link there, and then I get stuck in "chat loading" land. Eventually the page loads as "Done" in the bottom left corner (Firefox 3.0.4 on Mac OSX 10.5.5).

I'm just wondering if it's being fiddled with (if so, I'll cease my complaints and have one less thing to use for procrastinating on my essay that is due Friday), or if my computer just hates Dokuga chat. Haha XD

We put up new rules for chat. Sign out, restart your browser, and sign in. You should be able to get in then. The 'On to Chat' link on the rules page goes to dokuga.com/index2.php?option=com_jpfchat, which is the link that should work for everyone now.

I actually did sign in and I clicked "on to chat" and it just sits on the "Chat loading, please wait..." screen. That's when it says "Done" in the window status at the bottom. It's like it just hangs and never fully loads.

Oh, and the link doesn't work for me. Even after I have clicked "on to chat!" which leads me to the page that hangs, if I click the link you said should work for everyone, it just says "Please sign in to chat." and nothing else.

Hm, would you mind trying a again, but reloading when you get to the screen that says 'Please sign in to chat?'

No problem. I've just tried it again and I get the same results. Reloading the page doesn't do anything on either one.

I am having the same problem. Ever since the website began its upgrades I have not been able to sign into the chat room through the link at the top tool bar. I have tried what you told HeartSpasm to do, but that did not work.

I am also fairly computer illiterate so any solution you can think of, if you could explain in baby form would help. In other words I might not have followed your previous instructions correctly.

i tried clicking onto the link and it takes me to a page that says i am not authorized to access this resource, when i never had any issues before and i seem to be experiencing the same problem with the never ending chat loading window.

From now on, go into chat only from the rules page. It should load up just fine now.

Okay, clear your caches, because the js file and the templates have been altered, and try to click in through the chat rules page again.

Okay, just uploaded another round of changes.

Go here, and hit control+f5 on your browser, unless you're using Safari, where you would use control+r. That's so unbelievably important because if you don't do it, you'll load the old files again so whatever gets done to fix the bug won't apply. It's loading for me in all IE7, Safari, Firefox, Opera, and Google Chrome, and the new settings have stripped the window it loads in of everything except the chat window and a link at the bottom for mods.

I don't know what the heck is wrong with my version of Firefox, but the main link through the "On to chat!" page still just hangs and never loads, and the link you gave me just says "You are not allowed to view this resource!"

I forgot to add, I did clear my cache. I have it set to clear everytime I close Firefox, and I've restarted it many times over the course of the last few days with it still not working for me

I'm having trouble getting to chat, too. For some reason my laptop is a-okay with chat, but no matter how many times I close firefox, log in and out, or clear my cache on my main computer, I can't access chat. This is really weird, because it worked until a week or two ago and then suddenly FWOOMNO.

Is it BECAUSE, maybe, I accessed it on my laptop? Does chat not like to share usernames with other computers?
