While I've been working on the gallery tonight, I've noticed that most of the pieces of work, like Tally Mark's, have very high number of hits, but no comments. And then I realized that I really don't comment as often as I should on fanart. In fact, I almost never comment.

As an author, I know how much a good review can inspire, and I assume it's likely similar for artists.

I am making this post to remind people to encourage our amazing artists by telling them what they appreciate about the work they've shared with us.

I'm guilty of that. I'll make a note for the future. Thanks for bringing this up!

I'm guilty of not enabling comments in the first place for everyone. It certainly explains why I didn't see any.

That's pretty durn funny. You're so damn busy though, so who could blame you?

I'm bad about commenting period unless something grabs me, and a lot of the art I've already commented on at dev art. That's the great things about good art though. Always more to say.

Thank you for posting this! I didn't want to say anything...XD It's true, us fanartists are all as starved for reviews as fanwriters. We love to know what people think! Not commenting on fanart is a trend I've seen all around though; on deviantart I'll get a handful of comments for every few hundred hits (granted, most of my watchers there are there for the sculpture, and I'm just mercilessly inflicting my fanart upon them...). But feedback is always very much appreciated.

And lol, so that's why I couldn't comment on anybody else...I thought maybe the other artists were purposely disabling their comments or something.
