After having read both stories, I find it hard to believe you are new at writing fan-fiction. I do not doubt what you said but am surprised that a new writer could write these familiar characters so well. I was glad that Shippo and Rin mated but saddened to realize that Kagome would not see them in this modern age. Even the brief glimpse of a battle scene was vivid and real. I hope you continue to write
