Chapter 1: At the being

Prologue

Hearing and see the screams and fires that lead out all though the night. As our village of the forest of the bamboo trees became ruins, with flames all over the huts it was a hurtful night, for everyone that survived that night, the night of the last war between foes.

With only a handful of the village teenagers in one big group huddled together just glaring at the demon soldiers that surrounded us. For they had spears and swords pointed to us from each direction but I was more protected than I thought. For one of the teenagers who looked older than the others, that seemed like he stood out for his name was Souta, who held me close was ....one of mine older brothers. He had long black hair that was up in a low ponytail. His eyes held so many emotions all at once which was one reason why I always loved to look into them. Those beautiful sliver eyes that shimmered in the light. Souta looked built for a teenager his age, but then again he was twenty-three then young but old enough to fight but...the think that surprised me, was that Souta didn't fight but stayed with me the whole time holding me in is strong arms in the under ground storage room with the others. As we watched the soldiers, I was attached to Souta's arm somewhat scared of what was going on for I was only five then and didn't understand much of this, I had a white cape over my head making my small child like face look darker than it was already making my light lavender eyes stand out more.

A patch of my black raven hair lay upon my left shoulder. As my right little clawed hand claimed the left hand of my older brothers, with my left hand clinched in a tiny fist on my chest.

Looking up at the soldiers that surrounded all the young adults. That where found in the under ground storage. Two men with long sliver hair came walking up on jet-black stallions that had the mark of the crescent moon on their armor. All you could see on their face from a far was their pearsing golden eyes that stared at all of us with no emotion what so ever. That scared me the most, how can no one have any kind of emotion in their soul. I remembered what mother told me.. 'You can always see a person's soul within their eyes.... that's the best way to learn about someone and the way they feel' her caring voice filled my head as I watched one of the men get off of his horse.

He walked forward looking over that us; until his eyes landed right on mine. Staring back at him out of curiosity. I swore I saw his eyes soften, but took no mind to it as I hear him say.

"I am going to say this once and one time only" he stared.....his eyes turning back to their mask state like the first time I saw them. "We will leave you children be as long as you stay within the 'Bamboo Forest'. Now cooperate with us and we will spare your lives, no more chance understood!" his voice spoke out that made you want to respect him. But the others around my were nothing but respecting. For the only reason he was sparing us was because we didn't fight back and had no weapons to defend our self. So he was giving us pity for the lose of our loved ones who dead moments ago. Watching him wait for us all to nod in understanding he turned to the men behind him who was still on the stallion and said "being the boy......." Turning back to us he stated "know do any of you wish to take this laid?" he ask as he grasp the young adult from the man and held him up one of my other brother Kiro by his neck and throw him to the ground only a couple feet from where I was.

Looking at this man who just threw my brother to the ground like he did made me go into tears. "Brother!!!!" I screamed as I ran to his side and lifted his head into my lap to see if he was ok. "Brother Kiro......." You could hear his moans of pain as I lifted his head "are you alright" I said in a sad but soft tone.

"Kagome!!" yelled Souta to me as he ran to me and kneeled down starring down at Kiro his older brother then with a sharp snap of his head he was glaring at the man in front of us. "You BASTARD... what did you do to him?" yelled Souta.

"Silence pup.....it was his own doing" he said turning around to go back to his horse; along with the other man who's eyes made me feel lose and alone.

I watched the male in front of us with tears as he lifted up on to his horse. Telling the others to leave after they were clear that we wouldn't do anything. Then looked back down at Kiro after I listened to the male ride off into the forest to the Western Lands leaving the other man he came with behind with the others.

Looking at Kiro close up; I could clearly see how his condition was. He had so many bruise on his body, along with a few opened wounds.

Smoothing out Kiro's long jet-black hair out with my hand, I could feel eyes on me, from the man left behind. Looking up at him still with sobs I could see that he long sliver hair longer than Kiro's with a tail hanging on his right shoulder.

I will never forget that night as I watched the soldiers leave I put my hand on his chest and it began to glow a light blue with tiny bits of pink sparking from my hand. And with that I healed him, standing up Kiro and Souta walk to the others to tell them to go back to the village and get started on rebuilding it. For all I did was stare in the direction of the men with the golden eyes, especially the one who didn't even walk forward with the other man. His aura was powerful and still growing; from then on I promised myself to become stronger and avenge my father who was kill not by the Western Lord but by another male that I will never forget. That dreadful scent, his evil red eyes, his wavy black hair. I will kill him I swore on that night that I will kill that man with the spider mark on his back.
