The Story

Well hello there to all my wonderful fans. You all know me, I'm sure. I'm the loveable little miko from the future, the guardian of the Shikon no Tama, the happy yet fiery little human that has been blessed (or cursed, I haven't figured out which just yet) with incredible powers that I use to fight against the forces of darkness.

I am Kagome Higurashi.

Now, if you aren't sure what we're doing here, I suppose now is as good a time as any for me to tell you. You see, I have a story to tell. The problem is, I don't know what kind of story it should be. Should it be a story of love and of life, of pain and of sorrow, of fight and of peril, of humor and wit; or should it simply be a story for the ages, one that will leave everyone satisfied in the end?

I think that would be the ultimate goal, wouldn't it? But how to go about it? How could I, a simple human girl, know what it is that people want to read about? It seems like an impossible task, doesn't it? But I think I might have a solution.

So here it is; my plan. I will write the story as it comes, but following every scene, I will ask you readers a question. It will be a simple question, but it will also be imperative to the story. You see, the question that I will ask will give you the ability to determine what happens next. There will always be a choice involved, and it will be your responses that influence the direction of the story.

Let's give it a try, shall we?

Should this story be written in the:

A) First person perspective (ie. I walked through the trees in the bright light of the morn, feeling the sun's rays falling down upon me through the thick canopy of trees)

B) Third person perspective (ie. Kagome walked through the trees, the bright light of the morn spilling down on her through the thick canopy of branches overhead.)

And with this I shall leave you for a time, but I will be back later to begin the story.

A/N: I will attempt to post this fic on Fanfiction . net. I am well aware of the policy which forbids interactive fanfiction, however, I supply the argument that this is not, I repeat, is NOT a 'Choose your own adventure' fic because there will only be one direction the story will flow in once it is written. The idea behind this story is simply to promote better communication between readers and author. The different selections at the ends of the chapters are only to serve as a guide for the direction the piece will take, and not as way to create an interactive agreement in the writing between author and reader. What is written shall be mine, and the suggestions given will also be mine. All that I am asking for is which direction holds the strongest basis for a better story. But if this argument doesn't hold up and ShadowsWeaver1 mysteriously disappears from the site, we all will know why ;P

Shadow has something to say: I am deeply sorry to anyone who is currently waiting for the next chapter in 'Tears of the Fallen'. I am afraid that it will take longer than I would have anticipated for it to come out. I have been hit with the worst block I have ever experienced, and though I know what I supposed to happen in the next chapter, nothing I do is allowing me to write it. So, while I'm working on getting over this dilemma, I need something else to do; and this is it :D

Well then, until I get two reviews agreeing which perspective this story needs to be written in, I'm off. So, here's hoping this works!
