You're So Good to Me

Sesshoumaru laid on his back, allowing the small human girl to tend to his wounds.

Another particularily nasty battle and he wound up saving her when his halfling brother failed to....again.

That failure was becoming more frequent by the day, what was that idiot's problem?

His eyes traveled back to the girl....no, woman.

She was a woman now, she had grown up a great deal over the years and now she was an intelligent....well, she was still with Inuyasha, so ...semi intelligent, young woman.

But she was still as gentle and caring as the first time he had seen her show affection towards him or anyone in his personal circle.

She....this woman... this Kagome, was tending to him like only mates did for each other, yet she was not showing this much concern for Inuyasha.

Perhaps her patience with his antics had finally worn thin.

"Alright Sesshoumaru, you're all done!" her warm and cheerful voice rang out to him like a melodic little bell.

Their eyes locked and Sesshoumaru was unable to move or say anything at all.

Those brown eyes, so warm, loving and full of promises.

"You're kinda small

And you're such a doll

I'm glad you're mine

You're so good to me

How come you are

You take my hand

And you understand

When I get in a bad mood

His hand was in hers, she was holding it like it was the last thing she would ever touch on this earth, her eyes shining in the light of fire and candles as she smiled down at him.

Without thinking twice, Sesshoumaru wrapped his fingers around her small hand and gently squeezed.

"You're my baby

Don't mean maybe

A feeling of complete, but sudden pride welled up in the Taiyoukai Lord as she grasped a little firmer, she was accepting him...not his halfling brother!

Her other hand clasped gently over their joined ones.

"I know your eyes

Are not on the guys

When we're apart

You're so true to me

How come you are?"

The feelings swirling in his body were near foreign to him, but he was adjusting.

This powerful and beautiful young woman had just accepted him.

He turned and looked away briefly, trying his best to be analytical, but it wasn't working, he just craved to see her face, see the reaction that was sure to come at his next move.

Sesshoumaru unwound his hand from hers and replaced it to the nape of her neck, coming up slightly and pressing his lips to hers in a kiss.

The kiss lasted throught Shippo's "ooohhhs'', Miroku's suggestion to Sango, the subsequent and deserved knot said monk recieved for his suggestion and finally the huffing and short-lived tyrade of a jealous hanyou.

When he finally released her, Kagome sighed lustily and gazed at Sesshoumaru through half lidded eyes.

"I didn't think you were ever going to kiss me."

Then she smiled.

His heart of ice melted into a bubbling puddle.

Rin clapped heartily,then glomped an unsuspecting Shippo.

Jaken went into an exasperated dead faint.

Kaede gave a knowing look.

Sango blushed and nodded.

Miroku grinned despite the lump on his head glowing like a beacon.

Inuyasha had walked out, but at that time, no one seemed to care.

All was weird with the world, but it was good.
