BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

Prologue

There was a young beautiful miko who walking through the forest when she came across a handsome inu youkai. She knew he wouldn't bring any harm but put up her arrows just in case. She asked, " What do you want?"

"I want nothing just walking through the forest," he said looking at her. He asked, " Can you lower you weapon?" She nodded.

She kept staring at him she couldn't help but stare at his had gorgeous blue eye, short black hair with blue streaks, and three purple stars on his forehead. His gorgeous kimono was the same color of his eyes with white blossoms on it; he wore armor signifying that he was royalty. She said nothing to him she was just amazed at his beauty.

He kept looking at the miko she was beautiful compared to some demonesses she had medium brownish blackish hair; she had green colored eyes and soft pale skin. She was wearing a regular miko kimono with her hair tied up. He asked, "What are you looking at?"

She blushed and said, "sorry just looking at you." He continued to stare at her and asked "why are you here?" She just answered "for herbs."

He asked, "What's your name miko?" She blushed of embarrassment said " Sorry excuse my rudeness my name is Minka." "May ask what your is?" He looked thinking if you he should or not then he said "Lord Hotohori." He saw her bow and asked if 'she could leave' he answered 'no.'

She just looked at him in shock 'why wouldn't he let me leave?' 'Is he that arrogant to think he can boss me around?'

She asked "why not?"

He answered or stated, "Because I'm not done talking to you miko." She looked at him with a death glare and said, "Well I'm done with you." She turned around was about to leave but hit something hard, she looked up and saw him with a smirk. He said "You can't leave until I say human."

She was angry she decided that if he didn't move she was going to purify his arrogant ass. He saw the fire in her in with a smirk and he knew that it wasn't going to be good. She grabs hold of her arrows and started to aim them at him. He jumped to dodge them he didn't need to be purified by a miko woman. He couldn't believe how fast she was shooting them at him and couldn't believe what power she had. Finally he found an open spot and grabbed her and brought her down.

She looked shock that he moved so fast and gotten a hold of her. She was embarrassed that he was on top of her. She yelled, "Get off of me of me or get fried!" He looked at her couldn't believe how cute she looked when she was mad. He said "No I feel quite comfy where I am." He could feel the power coming off of her so he hurried to say something.

He said, "Let's make a deal you stop fighting with me and we will just keep each other company ok." She nodded in agreement.

After that day they kept each other company for many years until the day when they admitted their love and became mates. They had two beautiful children a girl and a boy they knew that they didn't want them to become spoiled they made a deal that they would keep their children in a village until on of them reached the age of sixteen. They hated to that day when they said goodbye to one another but they knew it was for the best.

-*-*-* Ten years later-*-*-

A young miko was chasing the kid in the village until she heard her mother telling her to come in for dinner. She was a kind, gentle, and loving girl that everyone loved. Her name was Kagome. She was going to turn sixteen tomorrow and she couldn't wait she knew that it was going to be a special birthday for her.

She was a beautiful miko like her mother she had long blackish brown, blue green eyes, and soft pale skin. She was loved by all the boys in her village but never had any interest with them. She always wanted to have excitement in her life where she could have some danger. Her mother always told her she was unique because she was always happy, but she knew she got it from her mother because she never seen her mother hate anyone or get angry at anyone.

She loved her mother she knew that her mother was holding a secret about her father but wouldn't tell her anything about it. She knew her mother would get sad thinking about him but she wanted to know everything about her father even if she knew that he was died. All her mother told her was that he loved her and still does.

At dinner her mother asked, "Kagome what do you want for your birthday?" Kagome answered, "I don't know surprised me I don't care what you give me because I know that you love me and that all I could ever want." Kagome's mother smiled couldn't believe what a woman her daughter turning out to be she knows her father would be proud. She couldn't wait until she told them the truth about their father.

*-*-* In the Southern Lands*-*-*

Lord Hotohori was excited to see how his children turned out he couldn't believe its been ten year since he seen them all. All the servants were excited to see them again also they couldn't wait their arrival to the palace.

Lord Hotohori made all preparations to make sure that they came home safely. He made sure that there were escorts to take them to the palace. He wanted to make sure that his family was safe or he couldn't live with himself if they were their lives were taken away from him. He didn't know if he would sleep because he was so excited to see his precious family. He could just image their faces when he looked at them.

*-*-* The next Morning in the Village*-*-*

Kagome woke up excited she could wait to see what her family had in store for her birthday. Her mother looked at her with a smile and said "Good morning Kagome and Happy Birthday!" Kagome was happy that she could spend time with her family.

Her grandpa looked at her with a smile and said "Kagome close your eyes so I can give you your present." Kagome did as she told and held out her hands waiting she felt something but wait until her grandfather told her to open them.

Kagome's grandpa said, "Open your eyes now Kagome." Kagome opened her eye and could believe what she got. She got a katana with blue and purple on it with ribbon hanging off of it with three stars. She thanked her grandfather and looked at Souta who was waiting patiently of his turn to give a gift. He gave her flower and a crown with flowers she loved it she imagine herself as a princess she gave Souta a kiss on the cheek and said thanked him. He was embarrassed and said "Your welcome."

Her mother gave her a smile and gave her a box. Kagome open the box and couldn't believe what was in it a beautiful silk kimono it was an aqua blue with the Southern land symbol. Kagome looked at her mother in confusion why would she wear the Southern land symbol she not royalty or a servant to the lord.

Her mother said, "I know that you are confused why you are going to wear that symbol but it your heritage." She smiled and said, "Kagome you're a princess of the Southern Lands and you're a demon as is your brother."

"Yes, that would make me Lady of the Southern Lands but I'm not a demon," said Minka. She continued, "You're a demon because usually demons don't mate with mikos so my power made you that way."

Kagome asked, "then why don't I look like a demon?" Her mother answered, "I put a spell to change you appearance so that you would not be in danger." Minka continue, "we better pack before your father sends escorts to take us to the palace." Kagome was in shock her father was ALIVE and she was a PRINCESS she couldn't believe it. She looked at Souta he wasn't shock just happy that he could live in a palace and have servant to do everything for him.

**Later**

In the afternoon there were three male guards in armor telling us to hurry because the lord wanted to see as soon as possible. Kagome was excited but scared she didn't know what to think any more she couldn't believe that her mother was hiding this secret from her and her brother. Kagome couldn't help but wonder why they left the palace but she knew her mother would tell her everything that she wanted to know when they got to the castle.

Minka looked at her daughter could tell there where many questions that her daughter wanted to ask her but she would wait until they reached the palace. Minka asked, "Kagome do you want to take spell off to see what you look like?" Kagome was shocked she forgot that she still had the spell on she nodded to her mother. Minka said, "Just concentrate and remove the spell." She did as she told and she waited until she felt her powers.

Kagome started turning bright blue and look at her hand they were claws with two purple streaks on them. Her mother held up a mirror and she looked at herself she had three purple stars on her forehead; on her eyes lids she had a blue line and her eye color changed she has a darker blue with green specks. Her cheeks had two purple streaks, her hair was long to her butt also had blue streaks in them and had a black fluffy tail over her shoulder.

Souta said, "Kagome you look beautiful I can't believe that's you!" Kagome blushed but was happy with her look she never thought that she would look this way. Minka told her son that it was his turn he looked excited that he was next.

When Souta transform he turn bright blue and started turning into a demon. He had blue instead of purple streaks on his hands and cheeks, he had three purple stars on his forehead, his eyes were green with blue specks and he also had a black fluffy tail. His hair was still short it didn't grow and he doesn't have blue in it. Souta was happy with his look; he thought it was so cool to be a demon.

*-*-*About 5 Hours later*-*-*

Lord Hotohori rushed down the stair to greet his family the instant he heard that they made it. When he saw them come to view he wanted to run over there but he decided that he would wait until they came to him.

Kagome and the others could see the palace in view she would have love to run to it but she didn't want to act like a child. She saw a man in view and wonder if that was her father she couldn't wait to see what he looked like. Even though she was six when she left the palace she doesn't remember it very much. She wonders if the people there were nice or were they snobby and rude. She hoped that she wouldn't become that way.

Kagome was in awe how big the palace was it was a traditional Japanese palace. She looked at the man coming down to see them and she could tell it was her father because she mother was crying when she saw him. She just looked at him and smiled.

Lord Hotohori saw his mate crying as he came down to see them he gave her a hug and told her he missed her so dearly. He looked at his children they look perfect to him his daughter was beautiful and his son was handsome as he was. He gave them both a hug and started crying because he was happy that they were here.

Minka was proud to have her family back she looked at her father who was also happy to see the family together once again. She decided would never leave her mate or husband again it was too painful for everyone and she didn't want to feel the pain of not being with the ones she loved.

All at once they started walking towards the palace and they started to talk about why they didn't live at the palace. Lord Hotohori was in pride to know how is children grown.
