Hey, you ;)

I finally saw this while waiting (still waiting) for more of Vying for Dominance. I hadn't realized there was an unread Shadow story, I don't know how I missed it, I've read all that you've written and posted.

You said you didn't get many reviews that surprised me but at the same time, I can almost see why -- this story is more complex, and very moving; you come away from it with a sort of melancholy feel.. I loved it, I thought it was great.

You're only getting better.

ally- Tue 08 Jan 2008
What a great read!! As usual... my review's kinda lateee.. haha! BUT! oh man... i love the way you weave your stories.. fantastic!! great plot.. but i just wished there were more sesskag heh.. though the point of the story shouldnt revolve round it.. gah.. one can hope.. anyways!! continue ur great work!! you're definitely one of my fave authors! will be supporting you!

WiccanMethuselah- Wed 14 Nov 2007
Dear, dear Shadow... my heartfelt sympathies on your misfortune... we were all wondering what on earth befell you!!! To lose the use of one's primary hand - even for a short time - is truly debilitating, not only on the body, but also on the mind.

I loved this story but, being the chicken-shit I am, I waited to read it until AFTER All Hallow's Eve, thank you! It was simply perfection; a true ShadowsWeaver spectacular, what with all the twists and turns. Your accident does not seem to have affected that all-too-clever mind of yours, that's for damn sure! Crafty, tricksy, and ultimately full of roller-coaster ups and downs. Yup, that's our Shadow!

I would dearly love to see you take up Sins of the Father if your muses begin whispering in your ear once more. I loved that story from its inception and am hopeful that you will find your inspiration again. Whether you do or not, however, THANK YOU so very much for sharing THIS little ditty with us. It is, as always, quite the treat to read one of your creations!!

Hoping for your continued recovery....
:D

Good story Shadow. I give it a rating of 3 stars!

Tana-san- Sat 10 Nov 2007
As always, Shadow, I apllaud your gifted imagination. I honestly could not figure out where you were going after the crypt scene and as always I'm glad I can't figure everything out. If you are ready to venture onto another fic, I'm interested in some really good smut( like you don't already know that...). So Vying for Dominence has my vote but in all reality, anything you write is most entertaining and appreciated. TTFN Jen

clavira- Fri 09 Nov 2007
oooh, I loved it! i'm so glad there was a... well kind of a - happy end!
and your writers block doesn't seem too bad to me ;) you still write really, really good stories.

Biggles- Fri 09 Nov 2007
I'm very happy you added this ending! Very very nicely done. I love your writing style, you far outstrip many other professional writers with your depth of emotional detail, as well as characterization and story telling. Bravo.

redeyes- Fri 09 Nov 2007
hey, that was really great, i dont like to review untill i've read the whole thing...so forgive me. but u really had me creeped out. it was just really good i dont know what else to say, but keep up the good work

sweetkijo- Thu 08 Nov 2007
Wow, this story was amazing and totally unique. I was kinda really scared in the beginning, but I suppose that was the point, ne? I alwayz love the stories you bring us, you never fail to impress. They are usually so different from anything else and just so....good! Thanks a bunch!! As far as the next chapter to update....damn thats like asking if I want a snickers or m&ms, they are both so damn good!!

ShadowChick- Thu 08 Nov 2007
i love ur story it was awesome and sad and- well lots of things i think you gotthe scary story affect along with several others and i love that
~~~~~~~~~~~~
as for the story to work on next i really think it should be Sins of the Father but i guess thats just cause next to Tears of the Fallen that is my fav story on this whole site
SC
snowbird- Thu 08 Nov 2007
I was hoping for more interaction with Sess. Oh well. So sad about Rin but not surprising about Kikyo. As to which story to start on next, I vote Sins Of the Father. It's the oldest and more detailed. It sounds as though all the events are coming to a point. Plus, it's been so long since an update and it's one of my absolute favorite Sess/Kag stories. Please choose it.
Inuzands- Thu 08 Nov 2007
Loved this story. You always do such a good job of sucking me into your writing. I can actually see what is happening because of how you describe settings and characters, and that is a rare gift. As for what story you should write next.....I vote for Vying for Dominance, but it's a hard choice to make as they are both good stories. Either way, I'm happy to see you writing again! :)
clavira- Thu 08 Nov 2007
Well, I was actually quite content to hate Kikyo in this story, but I guess your explanation at the end made it clear that she's just another victim of dark magic *pouts* I don't understand why Sesshoumaru didn't claim his sword back from Kagome after she came out and called out to him...
oh, and I think you should update Vying For Dominance next!!!
Jean- Thu 08 Nov 2007
That was a very good chapter. I'm sorry Jaken died, although he did so in an honorable way. As for what story to direct your efforts to next--I would love to see more of Vying for Dominance. That story had me hooked from the beginning. Kagome is a strong female, not a push over by any means in that story, and so the dynamics of just who will be dominant is intriguing.
Noacat- Thu 08 Nov 2007
Interestingly enough, there's a forest on the edge of Tokyo by Mt. Fuji that's supposedly haunted. It's called Aokigahara -- this story reminded me of that forest. The name Aokigahara means "Sea of Trees". So, when I thought about the forest and the graveyard for this story, I thought about the "Sea of Trees".
(It's also called "the suicide forest" because lots of people go there to commit suicide. Creeeeeeeeepy.)
Ezriee- Wed 07 Nov 2007
Poor Rin and Sesshomaru! Thats so horrible what that bitch did! I couldn't help the mental images of him just ripping Kikyou to shreads!
You're doing a fantastic job with this story! I can't wait for the next chapter!
Ezzy
Jestergirl- Tue 06 Nov 2007
So he killed Kikyo, but in doing so trapped Rin's soul with it?
miki-chan- Tue 06 Nov 2007
Just wanted to show you some love--as we all need the encouragement! Fine job, and nice fic.
tessa-hime- Tue 06 Nov 2007
OMG, I'm actually crying. I kind of figured it was Rin & Sess, but the way you unfolded it was amazing, and completely heart breaking. An overall 10 for a very well written original horror story!
tealeavesgreen- Tue 06 Nov 2007
This seems interesting so far, but I'm having trouble suspending my disbelief when it comes to holiday celebrations. They don't HAVE Halloween in Japan. They have Obon, which is thematically similar to Samhain, I suppose, but they don't have Trick or Treating or costumes. They have a big festival, and I imagine Higurashi Shrine would be involved in the Obon festivities, but the whole "Halloween" angle is very foreign. Throw me a bone; give some exposition about why Kagome's Tokyo is nothing like the real modern day Tokyo. Give me backstory that sets this as "slightly AU" or SOMETHING, because I lived in Japan during Obon, and it was nothing like this.
I'm sorry to be so critical. It looks like it will be a fabulous story, just... Halloween comes from All Hallow's Eve which comes from Samhain. No connection to Obon.
thehotty- Tue 06 Nov 2007
Tana-san- Tue 06 Nov 2007
Alright Shadow!!! That was so fantastic. You are definitely a master. And I get a gentle pat on the back for guessing the little girl spirit was Rin and the other Sesshoumaru and of course I know how you love Tenseiga!!! Now I must admit I'm at a lose for what comes next but I have at least a day to think about it. Until tomorrow, TA! Jen
Starwindess- Tue 06 Nov 2007
i liked that chapter. it was interesting, could sesshoumaru really hear kagome, or not? b/c you kind of make it seem that way. just one thing i was curious about.
Amber Wolf- Tue 06 Nov 2007
ooooooo so he heard her in the past vision this is interesting. I cant wait to find out what happens next. i would say I wish the chapters were longer but it is updated so often it works.
wynter89- Mon 05 Nov 2007
I was so freaked out when i read this. Right now it is dark outside, raining, and the door is moving behind my back... Not only that but every so often there is a soft whisling sound made by the wind. Freaky, i think so.
This is a lovely-creep-me-out story, which i am more than greatful that you decided to write it.
Good luck...
I hope you continue to write.
Amber Wolf- Mon 05 Nov 2007
awesome and yes you did a good job at layering, goodluck at the next chapter. Is Sess dead or no? i love this fic
alatera- Mon 05 Nov 2007
I'm loving it! Poor Rin! It gets more intriguing as it goes on! Makes me wonder though if she could stop it from happening in the first place though. Or if its happening in the past as Kagome is dealing with its future. Hmmm.Till next time. And glad you are back.
Jean- Mon 05 Nov 2007
I at least deserve a cookie for guessing correctly. However, I have no idea what you are going to do next.
Amber Wolf- Mon 05 Nov 2007
I love this story its really creepy and suspenseful (i cant spell) anyways i cant wait to see what happens next and when Sesshomaru reveals himself to Kagome. Interesting stuff is about to happen hehehe
Tana-san- Mon 05 Nov 2007
Ok now...this last chapter had me alittle on edge. The lights are out and I'm reading, the cat is sleeping and suddenly something 15 feet away shifts making me jump. Now what's up with that? Does crap like that happen to you? And talking about your reviews, on ASS, I've noticed since they activated the new" log in to rate" system, alot of fics aren't getting the response they used to. Plus, in general, I've noticed many of the regular reviewers (and writers) have been busy with the Real World. No worries, Shadow, I'm loving the fact that, as usual, you are having to extend the fic because your muses just won't be done with it. This means more Shadow for me each night. Love ya, Girl!!! Jen
Biggles- Sun 04 Nov 2007
I enjoy reading this story very much. It really does creep me out when I read it. It makes me want to turn on all the lights and wrap mmyself in a blanket. Please continue cause I am lovin' it.
Sarah- Sun 04 Nov 2007
hey great story i love your work its good to see you writing again
Kayla C.- Sun 04 Nov 2007
This is one of the best Halloween stories i have read in a while. And most people love telling me scary stories on my birthday, considering i was born on Halloween. Is Sesshoumaru going to be in this story?
Aimee- Sun 04 Nov 2007
Not many reviews? I gots one for you then!
Jean- Sat 03 Nov 2007
Who the hell is this green demon? It doesn't sound like Jaken. Besides he isn't scary. This is a really creepy story.
Reya- Sat 03 Nov 2007
I'm really enjoying this Halloween fic - where on earth do you get your inspirations? Either way it's a good fic, though I am wondering why its Yuka who is the one who comes up with the fun Halloween ideas - that turn dangerous... can't wait to read more!
Wolfye P.- Sat 03 Nov 2007
well heck! i'm loving it! i'm hanging onto every word. and i love how u threw in a few good stories into the mix.
Tana-san- Sat 03 Nov 2007
I loved your A/N at the end, " that was fun, now I've got some stuff to do"...you're so blase' about it and we're here getting all keyed up for SOMETHING. I'm wondering if Yuka is going to believe she did any of this or if this will curb her desire to scare the wits out of her friends. Oh and I've got a thought going in my mind as to who the players are in Yuka's horror story but I'll be a good girl and wait until you reveal to see how close I'm getting to figuring out how your mind works. LOL yeah, I know, that'll never happen but it's fun trying. Tootles, JEN
Jean- Fri 02 Nov 2007
Well crap, all three fell into the coffin. You still have me puzzled as to where this will end up.
Jonell- Fri 02 Nov 2007
I love reading your story. I have ben reading all of your storys and they all are awsome in time IWill read them all keep up the great writing I cant wait until the next part!
racheru- Fri 02 Nov 2007
postpostpostpostpost!!! You're such a good writer, and I just love your halloween story, I loved the other one too
Jestergirl- Fri 02 Nov 2007
Damn! That is scary when sitting in my room (the basement) with the lights off and listening to Type O Negative and others... Please update soon! I can not wait till the end!!
Jean- Fri 02 Nov 2007
OK maybe I won't give up on my Rin theory.
kagome17- Thu 01 Nov 2007
please update ASAP!!! ^_^ GREAT story!!!
zanai- Thu 01 Nov 2007
Wow. Is there a genre you're not good at? Honestly, I haven't been that scared since...well, since I was stuck in the woods with howling coyotes. Hope all goes well with the rest of your hand's healing. This review may be a tad late, but then I had candy that managed to last until the next year when I was younger...
racheru- Thu 01 Nov 2007
LOVE YOUR STORY!! SUPER AWSOMENESS!!! I love the story Yuka told, it was so sad, and I kept thinking that the girl was Rin, and the demon that killed everyone was Sesshomaru getting revenge for her...that would go well with the story, yes it would
Ezriee- Thu 01 Nov 2007
kay...I'm a grown woman, 26 years old and NEVER before have I been so freaked out by a story before! Ouiji boards are a big no no to me and seriously, I won't let my legs drop off my bed now.
At 1:11 am on the 11/1, I was reading the part where the Ouiji board spelled out YOURSOUL, my room literally was filled with the sound of banging...
MY STUPID ASS BROTHER CHOSE THAT EXACT MOMENT AT 1:11 AM ON 11/1 TO BANG ON THE BACK DOOR TO BE LET INTO THE HOUSE! I swear, I nearly died and had a fricken heart attack! Even now, I'm creeped out! My closet door is partially open and I just cant bring myself to get up and close it!
You've managed to scare a grown woman, CONGRATS! LOL!! I'm so freaked out, I think I'm gonna watch a few episodes of bleach and prince of tennis to take my mind off the fic.
Shadow, you are the scary story MASTA!!
Ezzy
ps: I really hope your hand gets better
Tana-san- Thu 01 Nov 2007
You know, I last heard that Halloween was becoming more of an adult celebration but then I just thought, I don't think chocolates, candy and liquor make for a good day after. Personally speaking, if I were Kagome, I would have hightailed it out of there the first inkling I got that wasn't safe and normal. Yuka sure hasn't been very caring, so leave her there and accept being called names. Kagome has intell that Yuka and the others will never fully believe, let alone understand. Do I get a chocolate for guessing it was Kikyou? Till tomorrow night. Take good care of the hand. {I do want you to continue writing, for a LONG time.} Hugs, Jen
Corinny- Thu 01 Nov 2007
Oh, man. I love me some Shadow! I can't believe I've read every one of your stories, and loved them all. Your Halloween stories always entertain, and I'm glad you're writing another one this year! Don't exert yourself too much. I crave more of your lovely stories!! I'm so excited to see what happens!
lilmoe31- Thu 01 Nov 2007
OMG, I not even there and I'm freaking out. I LOVE IT. Please update soon.
Jean- Thu 01 Nov 2007
I was thinking that the girl raped and murdered was Rin and the demon was Sesshoumaru. However you threw me with the spirit asking for Kagome's soul.
starwindess- Thu 01 Nov 2007
good fic for a halloween story!
Yet again Shadow, wonderful job. Looking forward to the conclusion. Happy Halloween, the kiddies already cleared me out here!!
Katie33h- Wed 31 Oct 2007
I love your ghost stories. I love your festive-ness. its refreshing. You see i am kind of homesick and the people here dont celebrate like we did back home. they are rather religous and so they do halloween very christian .. if at all possible... so no ghost stories, no going to the grave yard, no taro readings ... all rather depressing.
Tana-san- Wed 31 Oct 2007
I gather that perhaps the man at the gate ws Sesshoumaru? I highly doubt he would have liked Yuka's discriptions of him. Ever know anyone like Yuka? I have and trouble always tended to follow. And yes, I used to live across the street from a very old graveyard and my husband (boyfriend back then) loved to walk through there at night. The creeps is an understatement. The Quigi board? I wouldn't go near on of those with a 10 ft pole after watching a movie called "Witchboard". I have heard AND witnessed one too many strange things "playing around" with that "toy". See ya tomorrow night, Shadow. JEN
I am so sorry to hear about your accident and glad that you're not letting it slow your roll. I miss not seeing any new stuff posted until now and when I saw this story, it sent a thrill of joy up my spine.
You are such a wonderful storyteller and an excellent writer. I hope to be like you someday :-)
Excellent story...looking forward to any updates when they pop up.
*many hugs and many smiles*
Tana-san- Tue 30 Oct 2007
Hey there, Shadow!!! I'm happy to see you're attempting to type already. Can't even begin to tell you how much I've missed you and have had tofight myself from bothering you outside of our fanfiction world. You know I adore you!!! Great start by the way I agree with Kagome over knowing the difference between her and Kikyou. Whether she wears the traditional attire or not InuYasha should know her if not by sight then by scent. Can't wait to see where the girls are going to take Kagome and how you'll tie Sesshoumaru into this. Well, it's getting late and I've got a doctor's appointment in the afternoon. I'll be checking in for new posts but take care of that hand. Hugs, JEN
Jean- Tue 30 Oct 2007
I'm sorry to hear about your injury. I hope your recovery continues. This "tale" has a dramatic beginning. The Halloween shrine display sounds pretty cool. I thought the monster was real.
serasvictoria666- Mon 29 Oct 2007
And I was jumping up and down yelling, 'She's back! She's back!' when I saw you had updated. lol Well, I definitely loved this chapter, and I can't wait to read the rest of it whenever you're able to write more. I hope your hand feels better soon. I kinda feel bad that I didn't know about your injury. I kinda just thought you were busy and didn't really have time to write for the moment.
But yeah, I hope you feel better.
Kagomes_Inner_Beast- Mon 29 Oct 2007
Man....that was so SAD!!!!!! I almost cried from the angst. Waaaaaah!! Could you make it so Sesshoumaru you know regrets leaving her to die with her unborn pup?
I'd really appreciate it.
I am a full supporter of Sessh/Kag But I just can't stand it when poor Kagome has to be the victim of his lies. In this fan fiction I hope he dies a tragic death!!(Sesshoumaru) Or alteast has a chance to tell her that he truly did love her....Love it!!!
