I kinda figured that the servant girl played an important part in this but I've got to wonder why Kagome would be so daft in believing anyone so easily without more questions. She should have at least read more of the journal before allowing the girl to take her blood to concoct some spell or potion she has no knowledge of. When did Kagome get so trusting? I really like the intrigue though. You're creating a very good beginning drama here. I noticed a few grammar and spelling errors but other than that this fic reads well. Wow, this is a nice concept. I think it's going to wind up really interesting, especially considering what you do with Sesshomaru. I couldn't help but think that she never read the next entries in the journal. For all she knows, while that was his original intent...that could have changed. Or not, I don't know where you're going with this...and I have to say, I like that. As for name, though...I'd think about what you have planned in the future of the story and see if you can pull something from a general theme or moment you really like. At the moment all I can think of is "Shade of Love" or "Familiar Shades" which references Kagome's similarity in appearence to his former mate. (Shade being 'Ghost' or 'ghostly impression'.) Good luck!

So, I have read one other fic that goes along the same plotline but was left feeling unfulfilled after 2 chapters. THIS has got my intention. I'm looking forward to reading more. Kagome has always had a way about her that people, be they human or youkai, can't resist her true unconditional loving nature. I wonder if the same thing will or has happened to Sesshoumaru. And what is his problem with not allowing her freedom beyond the castle? He takes Rin with him all the time. Is he really that insecure to think Kagome would leave him if she were not in the castle? InuYasha seems to have taken this union WAY to easily, is there more to that or what? Looks like this "servant" has quite a grudge against Sesshoumaru. Is she really telling the truth about wanting to "help" Kagome or does she only want to seek revenge? Anyway, I am intrigued and will be looking forward to more. JEN
