As for the picture...
Yes, Touga's kimono is meant to match the ladies. Kogane is gold while Izayoi is red.
Yes, he looks helplessly resigned. Yes, Kogane looks to be in her own little world with her dirty plans and Izayoi is on guard...undecided about how things will go.
Ah, but do take something into consideration... Kogane stands to Touga's right while Izayoi is at his left ;] His right arms is his strong one...but the heart rests on ...the left side of his chest.
Touga is standing in front of both ladies... so no, he's not protecting any of them. Also, no...Izayoi has a serious/resigned expression to her face... no angry pouts :]

I totally ♥♥♥ Kogane! Perhaps I should make a Team Kogane banner and a Team Izayoi banner xD
There's a lot of emotion in the eyes of each character. Izayoi gives off a deeply angry vibe, and I wonder if she's resigned to accept what's happened or is simply plotting to hurt Kogane as badly as she must hurt. Kogane has the look of a person who lives in her own world, a place of dreams and maybe even a few nightmares. Touga's look is a bit ambiguous to me. It appears to me he's standing with his right shoulder turned slightly towards Kogane and his left is slightly in front of Izayoi. I don't know if that was your intention, but it struck me as a protective pose, as though he's divided and attempting to, in his own way, protect each woman from the other. I'm probably reading far too much into everything as usual. XD
I find their expressions to be the most telling. Kagone seems out of it completely, and Izayoi seems resigned and maybe a bit bitter but beautiful. Inupapa, he doesnt look happy or sad, not really lost in thought but upset as an overall. If i had to guess i would say that a more adult izayoi will find her pleasures in taking everything about from Kagome and Kagone as they inevitably were the reason that everything was taken from her in her youth.
I also wonder how kagome will look as this is obviously a few years to a decade later time jump wise.
Izayoi has a simple beauty to her. Inupap while he's standing between the two looks like he doesn't know who to choose. And Kogane just looks fantabulous as usual.
Can't wait for the next chapter to begin!
P.S. I think my favorite is Izayoi this time!! BEAUTIFIL!!!
Anxiously awaiting the first page, as you know, and my favorite would have to be...Inupapa! He's so cute!
