A/N: Welcome to my new mini-story, a christmas tale about our favorite couple! The story title was from the movie Any Given Sunday, which I don't own, I just changed the last word and the chapter title belongs to Kanye West song "All of the Lights". I hope everyone would enjoy this story! :)
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha
All of the Lights
There was one thing that he hated the most besides his brother, and that was Christmas. It was a pointless holiday, a time of giving, a time of receiving. A time where someone spends hundreds of dollars on gifts only for it to be discarded a couple months later. A time where enemies are friends just because of the holiday. He huffed to himself, like he was going to be nice to anybody he detested. They would just receive a piece of coal and then he’ll wish them a place in hell.
“Sesshomaru, you’ve been sitting there for an hour, when are you gonna put the lights up?”
Sesshomaru looked at his wife, dressed in an obnoxious wintry red sweater with a giant Santa Claus face plastered right in the middle. A pair of reindeer antlers were on her head, and inside he thought she looked ridiculous. He could tell she was upset, the box of Christmas lights was right besides him and he haven’t moved an inch since she placed them there.
“Can you imagine how high the bill would be if we placed these lights up?”
Kagome glared at him, hands on her hips. “Does it look like I care? Go place them up.”
“Does it look like I want to move?” He threw back. He didn’t want to get up and go outside in the blasted cold just to put up some lights that were only going to be there for a couple weeks. He was nice and cozy inside, watching this annoying movie about a green fellow who wanted to ruin Christmas. They continued glaring at each other until he looked away, finding the entire thing burdensome.
“If you are so desperate of having them up, do it yourself.”
“Because I don’t want to.” She said, a big frown on her face. “Now go outside and do it or else.”
He wanted to childishly say or else what, but knew better. Lately, his wife was getting mad easily, and lately he has been sleeping many times on the couch. “Fine.” He resigned, there was no way he was going to sleep on a cold couch again.
“Everything needed is in the box and the ladder is in the shed.” Kagome said, skipping up to him to give him a big, wet kiss on the forehead. She merrily walked away, knowing that she won.
Sesshomaru lightly frowned, maybe his wife was bipolar or something.
