A/N: Welcome to my drabble series, I know what you're thinking. 'Another story really?' But if y'all read my oneshot The Assistant, this is like a how-it-all-started kinda story and a continuation on where we left off in the oneshot once we get to that part. So enjoy!

Chapter 1: Not a Hater

It was a normal day.

She was once again at work, an assistant to a man on the news crew, who she disliked with all her passion. She didn’t hate the man, it wasn’t in her nature, but she severely disliked him. The job wasn’t exciting, the pay was terrible and she had no benefits. She has a degree in technology and yet she regretted not taking that offer at Teji. Now she was working for this prick because she wanted to be helpful.

“Kagome! Donut!” The fat idiot yelled out, nearly breaking the seat.

Damn her friendly, sympathetic nature.
