“Human,” the inudemoness whispered as she brushed her unbelievably long hair.
“Right,” croaked Jaken.
“Miko,” the female went on evenly.
If Jaken didn’t know her he would say the news didn’t affect her. But he knew her…and intimately. Things were going to get nasty!
She turned and her golden eyes hypnotized him with their beauty. Then she smiled. He almost cried…it was the same as when Sesshomaru smiled. You just knew your life was growing shorter with each passing second, “Mi-milady…?”
“My son. Only…son,” she said carefully, “Courting a miko?!”
The waves of her furious youki sent him rolling away.
