She stood at a cliffside overlooking the place where Mukotsu had tried to make her his bride. She grimaced at the thought, but sighed as she also recalled who saved her.
“You are lucky I am not here to end your life, miko,” she startled at hearing the demon lord behind her.
Kagome turned to face Sesshoumaru, and gasped at how close he was to her.
‘I had not sensed him at all and he got this close. Why?’ she wondered.
“What do you wish from me?” she blurted out.
“Hn. Audacious as ever, Ka-go-me,” Sesshoumaru languidly said, bending down to see her eye-to-eye.
Kagome sucked in her breath, her eyes widening in response to him invading her space. She noticed how flawless he was and wondered if he smiled a true smile, not a sadistic smirk. Her eyes ventured down to his lips, which were so close to hers, and trembled.
‘They look so tempting. Bet if I kissed him, it would be the last thing I do,’ she thought.
She ventured her eyes up to meet his ambered ones, and then felt his lips briefly touch hers. In a blink he was gone, and Kagome tried to wrap her brain about what just happened. The kiss was so fast it left her mind whirring.
‘But they were so soft,’ she sighed, lifting her hand to her lips.
“Oh well, better not tell anyone. They’ll think I’m crazy,” she said, and then turned towards camp.
