In The Night She Cries by Dandie

And He Fell For her...

She watched from afar

And he did seem

So far away

So out of reach

But she would dream of him at night

And she didn't know

That he would dream of her too

He would never let it show

She was everything he was against

He was everything she feared

He was stubborn

But so was she

Would they wind up together?

Was it fate?

He refused to budge

And she stuck close to her friends

His brother was a nuisance

They would always fight

Her love had already gone unanswered

And she felt that it would happen again

Because this distant stranger

Was not a friend

But in the silent of night

He did appear

Going against his ideals

He had to be near

For dangers did lurk

Close at hand

And he would not let her be hurt

At an enemies hands

So as she slept cozy

Her dreams of him

He did hover of her close

Trying to steady his hands

As she moaned in her sleep

He groaned in the shadows

How hard this was

To be indifferent

When all he wanted to do was hold her close

But as he had suspected

The danger did strike

He started to battle

And moved further away

He must protect her

His brother would stray

He fought for her life

With no thought of his

Nothing could hurt him

Not even his Kin

But the love of one sweet girl

Could bring him to his knees

And he started to realize

He just might have to tell her himself

Because just the thought of her being hurt

Caused his demon to stir

He panicked and spun

A cry rent the air

His woman was hurt!

How could someone dare?!

He sped on the air

To her side he did appear

Was he too late?

Blood scented the air

She was on her knees

Hands stained red

He gasped for air

She could not be dead

He knelt close her her side

His hands shook

His eyes cried

She looked up at him

Black hair blocked her face

A smile lit her lips

Dark eyes were glazed

“I must be dreaming,” She whispered

“All is right.”

Then she died.

A howl pierced the air

It was a frightful sound

The demon was released

Here comes the hound.
