Prompt: Rakish, WC 300
Kagome looked up from her heavy math book just in time to see a white blur dart across the field toward Edo. 'That's odd', she thought. 'Sesshomaru doesn't usually show up so close to the village.'
Wondering what could bring the rakish demon through her part of the world, and in such a hurry, she closed her book and quickly stashed it in her ugly yellow bag before heading off toward Kaede's hut.
She was not surprised to find Inuyasha shouting insults at the top of his lungs, brandishing his transformed sword as if his demon brother would shake in his shiny black boots in fear of it.
Kagome laughed at the picture they presented. She had seen this confrontation more times than she could count, and knew that nothing would come of it.
"Sesshomaru", she greeted, ignoring the hanyou who's mouth continued to spill profanities. "What brings you here?"
The tall demon lord turned and contemplated her question for a moment before offering an answer.
"I was bored," he stated blandly.
Kagome blinked. That was not an answer she was expecting. "So you decided to come torment Inuyasha?" she asked with a lopsided grin. Speaking his name brought her attention to the fact that the hanyou in question had finally shut his mouth...temporarily.
"Uh, Kagome?" Inuyasha drawled. "Can you please stop TALKING TO MY ASSHOLE BROTHER AS IF HE CAME FOR CONVERSATION?"
Kagome turned back to the taller Inu and flipped her hair in Inuyasha's direction, pointedly ignoring his request.
"As I was saying, you came to torment him?"
Sesshomaru cocked his head to the side as he regarded the strange miko again. "Not JUST the hanyou," he replied.
A split second before the demon in white disappeared mysteriously, Kagome felt a sharp smack on her ass.
