Kagome stared at the back of her captors back in dismay, the man was massive! His jet black hair shot out from his head in disarray. Kagome had heard rumors about the slavers that were terrorizing other villages, but had never dreamed that they could be any where near her home. Kagome didn't understand how this could have happened to her. She had gotten up at dawn, like every other day, and went to gather wood for the morning fire.

 She had barely made into the cover of the woods when she was hit from behind and tussled up like a Christmas turkey. She broke of her musing as the slaver returned. He knelt down and roughly grabbed her chin. Harsh mid-day light forced Kagome to close her eyes and he inspected her features. He released her face and stepped back, his gaze still on her face.

“ She will do.” He said to the men behind him. One of them, Kazuya she had heard him called, pulled her from the wagon and tossed her over his shoulder.

“ Take her to the hag to be cleaned up.” The leader said. Kazuya nodded his head.

“ Yes Lord Shin. “ He replied before carrying Kagome toward a aged hut. He walked into the damp smelling structure ,and tossed Kagome to the ground. Kagome groaned and sat up as a old woman with three teeth and even less hair, came into room.

“ Another one soon?” She questioned as Kazuya turned to leave. He looked back over his shoulder.

“ Yes. Clean her up and pack the finest clothes you have for her. Lord Shin plans to present her to The Demons. They pay the better than humans these days.” He answered and left. Kagome scooted back as the hag approached her. The woman tsked and grabbed Kagomes arm. She pulled Kagome to her feet with surprising strength and shoved her toward the back of the hut.

“ You give me any trouble girl, and I'll have Kazuya come back and beat the fight right out of you.” She untied Kagome and pointed toward a wooden tub.

“ Undress and get in.” The hag spit on the floor and left Kagome alone, mumbling under her breath. Kagome began to disrobe in silence, her mind going numb. She sat in the empty tub for several moment, absently wondering how she was to bath if it there was no water. As if reading her mind the hag entered the room, several men carrying buckets of water behind her. Kagome tried to cover herself as the men approached and dumped the water into the tub.

“ Keep you eyes in your head Kenta! She is not for you.” Kazuya yelled pulling a brown haired man out of the room. The hag laughed and tossed a rag at Kagome.

“ Clean yourself up girl. Lord Shin does not like to be kept waiting.” she continued to laugh as she followed the last man from out the door. Kagome felt tears pooling behind her eyes and blinked them away.

* Crying wont save you now Kagome * she thought to herself and picked reached for the rag.
