~Chapter 1~
Around five hundred years ago he'd obsessed over a human woman... who had disappeared. The woman known as Kagome, surname he'd later learned was Higurashi. The miko who carried the Shikon and had broken it as well, thus beginning a period of unrest for him... in many ways.
At the time the idea of a human woman had disgusted him and yet despite his best efforts not to, he found himself having some licentious thoughts concerning the miko... who shortly after Naraku's defeat had completely vanished.
Long after it happened Inuyasha had revealed the woman's origins, which Sesshoumaru had suspected anyway, he'd heard mention of “Kagome's time,” before, but hadn't understood it fully. After he had breached the gap between him and his brother, when nearly two hundred years had passed and the hanyou had grown up a great deal he'd learned.
Kagome was from this era and had traveled back and forth between the times going to school and fighting Naraku simultaneously. When he'd learned what modern school was like he'd been highly impressed with the human. Not many could have done the same and kept their heads above water.
Kagome had fought in the final battle and had still been able to freely use the well. After all it wouldn't have made sense for her to be forced back to her own time or to be forced to remain in the past if nothing happened to the well. The Shikon had been whole at the time she had first come to the past, so it's re-completion wouldn't have affected her time traveling abilities... or so he had hoped.
When she disappeared Sesshoumaru had assumed she'd gone to where ever it was she had come from. Inuyasha had set him strait on that. “Yeah she left for home a week after Naraku was killed. Wanting to go get back to school and stuff. Hadn't made up her mind which time she wanted to stay in.
After four days I went to check on her, only to find her momma cryin' and talkin on something they call a phone with the law people. Kagome was missing and no one could find her. I went lookin' but her scent disappeared on some street between her house and her school... I checked back a lot at first but no one could find her... after three months we all gave up.”
Watching the bubbly woman leaving her friends to walk down another street he finally understood why she had disappeared. Someone had kidnapped her.
Him.
The moment the jewel returned partially broken he had noticed, he had also noticed when she'd returned with the completed version... back inside of her body. It was four days later and Inuyasha- the one from feudal japan, would come to check on her today.
Only she wouldn't make it to that meeting.
The two men he had hired were each wearing a talisman, designed to stop their scents from falling onto an area. They had no idea what they were for, but these type of men did not ask questions they did what they were paid to do and walked away after. Still he couldn't risk that Inuyasha would detect their scents and search them out, he had to make sure that he didn't find the little miko under any circumstances.
The limo rounded the corner, and he opened the door, Kagome looked over at it curiously before a black bag fell over her face. The one who put the black bag over her then grabbed her upper arms in a bear hug like embrace before the second one rushed forward to grab her legs and force her into the limo.
She screamed and kicked, but couldn't break free. The moment the limo door closed it took off, leaving the two humans who would leave and then return the talismans to him at a later time.
The only person who could even hear her now was him, and she seemed to sense this.
Kagome didn't know what was going on but she was terrified. The obvious kidnapping could only mean something bad for her. Whoever owned this limo had kidnapped her just four short days after the completion of the Shikon and it's return with her to this time.
Either that or it was some rapist. She hoped it was someone after the jewel and not someone after her specifically, but she had no idea... ideas of what could happen to her ran through her head at lightning speed, she was absolutely terrified.
A man's arm snaked around her waist, and she stiffened, raising her arms to the bag on her head. “No, leave it or I'll remove your arms.”
The voice... it was slightly muffled by the thick material around her head, but it had definitely sounded familiar. Something was draped around her neck, examining blindly she realized it was some kind of pendant, though the markings she couldn't distinguish without the use of her eyes.
“W-who are you?” She managed to say after the arm that had held her against some male body had loosened and she'd managed to move away. “What... what do you want from me?”
There was no reply and that only frightened her more. Blind as she was she couldn't even fathom how to escape, nor was there anyway to tell if the man was constantly looking at her or not, so she couldn't risk trying to take the bag off and get some of her bearings. This was terrifying... what did he want with her?
Inuyasha could help her... maybe. This modern world was difficult for him to function in, but he'd managed before surely he could track down the one who had grabbed her? Their scent would be left behind so there must be some hope!
In five hundred years he hadn't forgotten a single detail about this woman, traces of her scent had taunted him for that time as well. At first he had thought to let her go back to her own time, but then he realized that by the time he was able to overlook her humanity the woman would have been long dead... he couldn't do that, he needed her, and although five hundred years ago he couldn't accept that now he could.
It had been very... startling to realize that he'd been distracted his thoughts constantly drifting. Every step he'd made since the day he'd found out she'd disappeared had been in preparation to get her for himself. He hadn't realized that, not at first anyway.
Two hundred years after she had disappeared he'd looked for meaning, for purpose in his existence. Her image kept appearing in his head... over and over again as he'd considered that mating and raising a family could become his purpose the idea of her holding his pups showed up. That was when he knew he'd have her.
However he couldn't let her roam free, she'd simply return to her friends, return to Inuyasha and the world of the past. She couldn't do that, it would completely disrupt the world, could even cause his past self to kill her if she returned bearing his mark without him having given it to her.
No, she needed to stay in the present and stay away from Inuyasha and her family. She needed to stay with him, no matter what she felt about it.
They arrived at his home, a bodyguard came up to the limo door and opened it. Immediately Kagome started screaming again, which of course was more than a little useless, his home was situated far outside of the city's limits, there were no neighbors to hear her, no one to try and aid her.
His staff was expecting her arrival, none of them were surprised when he lifted her over his shoulder and strode through his home. Every one of them had expected her and known she'd be unwilling to stay. None of them cared, most of them had been serving him the majority of their lives and their children worked for him as well, they all depended on him to keep them alive and well and would do anything even ignore the pleas of a kidnapped woman.
“Whoever you are please let me go!” She was screaming as he opened the door to his basement. “There's someone who will be looking for me and he will definitely find me! He'll kill you for this!”
He nearly growled at her for that little bit. The foolish woman was entertaining thoughts of a clean rescue from Inuyasha... what nonsense... The fool was only half youkai and in this modern world even if there had been a scent to follow it would have been nearly impossible for him to do so inconspicuously.
One side of his basement there was a door, human eyes would not be able to see it unless they wore the symbol of his house. This door was his destination and he opened it stepping into the world he had created for her.
Using his foot he shut the door, the wards reacted and began to glow. No one with any sort of spiritual Reki would be able to open that door, and there were no windows in this room, so she could not escape him... she would stay here with him forever.
Two years ago he'd finally found the Kagome Higurashi he'd been looking for, she'd been all of fourteen years old then, and had never once traveled to the past. As soon as he'd found her he'd had this house built, and the basement room as well.
Gently he set her down, when he'd closed that last door she's stopped struggling, again he figured it was because she somehow sensed that they'd reached their destination.
Kagome reached for the bag on her head and when she received no warning to stop she pulled the material from her face and found something she hadn't expected. Her abductor was still behind her and she was terrified to look at him, so instead she looked at the very pink room she was now in.
What she found only served to frighten her. There were three bookshelves, only one of them was full there was a large lay-z boy sofa chair too, right next to the bed. That was what alarmed her. The bed was large, and covered in maroon sheets... and on the top of the bed attached to the headboard were chains.
She whirled on her kidnapper then and found something else she hadn't expected. Magenta stripes and a crescent moon... she had expected something much different something more human and easier to deal with. “S-Sesshoumaru?” She asked in disbelief, “How are you alive...? Why would you kidnap me?”
Her fear was ebbing and that was rather amusing to him. A familiar face relaxed her, even if he'd never been a “friend,” of hers. “Take off your clothes.”
The blood rushed from her head at a dizzying rate. He hadn't just...? Startled she took a step back, and he took one forward. “I do not enjoy repeating myself, human. Remove your clothing-now.”
