Valentine's Day Impromptu by Rowdys girl

Chapter 1

Valentine’s Day Impromptu Drabble/Drawble

Prompt:  Chocolate

She glanced around her kitchen, dismayed. There wasn’t a single pot clean. Nor were any of those dirty pots, surely every one she owned, stacked neatly in or near the sink. The sink. Her eyes glazed over as she stared at the mess that filled her sink. It looked black and lumpy, nowhere near like any kind of food stuff she’d ever heard of. The countertops, the little she could see of them, looked like there was more frosting on them than on the cook’s actual target.

Sighing mentally, she glanced at that cook, standing so proudly holding out the smallest chocolate cake she had ever seen.

Kagome smiled, love informing her every move, as she accepted the small, crumbly cake covered in lumpy fudge frosting. “It’s beautiful, Sesshoumaru. Happy Valentine’s Day to you too.”

Prompt:  Roses

Kagome set the last pan to dry. She was exhausted. Sesshoumaru really HAD used all of her pans and bowls to make that tiny chocolate cake for her. The only edible remnant of what he had intended to be a 4-layer tort. But inexperience with baking and kitchens and the matter of oven temperatures had ended with a small slab 4 inches long by 3 inches wide and, perhaps, one inch high. He had slathered the crumbling piece of cake with his lumpy fudge frosting, not realizing that the butter needed to be soft to mix well. But, in spite of all of that, it actually HAD tasted good!

She laughed at the strangeness that something so dreadful looking could taste good. Her laugh turned into a startled squeak when warm lips suddenly caressed the back of her neck. “Koi, I had intended to clean your kitchen.” Sesshoumaru’s deep voice informed her.

“The cook doesn’t have to do clean up. That’s the way is, my love,” she whispered as she turned in his arm, smiling.

“Then, please, take these as a small gesture of thanks,” and he moved his other arm from behind his back, two dozen yellow and apricot roses in his hand.

“Sesshoumaru!” She gasped, “My favorite colors!” And she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him soundly.

Prompt: Cupid

Giggling could be heard from the darkened room at the end of the hall. The listener hovered a moment, delighted with the occurrences within. Quiet whispers, protestations of love everlasting tickled the listener’s ears. Smiling at another successful visit to this domicile, he left the new mates’ residence.

Cupid could now count Kagome and Sesshoumaru as one of his triumphs!

Prompt: Red

Sesshoumaru hadn’t planned on mating Kagome last night. The sudden flush of love, coupled with a stronger surge of need, had ruled his actions. He studied her sleeping face in the brightening morning light. He couldn’t say he was upset. No, actually, he was delighted. She was intelligent, funny, clever and beautiful with a gentle, loving nature. No, he was delighted she was now his mate and he leaned down to nuzzle the red mark his fangs had left on her tender flesh.

She stirred, mumbling some sleepy nonsense. Her eyes opened drowsily and she smiled up at him. Then she put her arms around him and snuggled closer, happily falling back into her slumbers. He deduced that she was pleased too.

Prompt: Romance

Humming softly, Kagome moved about her still-clean kitchen. She had Sesshoumaru’s tea ready and at his place. Expertly, she began to whip up shrimp omelets for them both. Sesshoumaru leaned against the doorframe, watching her actions, his heart filled with love. She turned and twinkled a smile at him.

“Good morning, Sesshoumaru. I’m making our first breakfast as mates.” He could hear her happiness in her voice and it made him want to sing; but he was Sesshoumaru, the Lord of Ice.

“Hnnn.” He answered, a faint smile on his lips. She laughed.

“That’s my mate, the Master of Romance and Poetry,” she teased him.

In two steps he was across the room and she was bent over his arm while his lips seduced hers. Breathless moments later, he looked into her eyes. “We will get to the poetry later,” he promised.
