Monkey Bars

Little kids ran all over the play ground, playing this game and that. They were all secluded in their own worlds and imaginations.

And one of these little worlds, was at the monkey bars. A small war had begun to unravel. Inuyasha stood on top... at the moment.

"Haha! I am king of the monkey bars! Who dare defy me?" A rock was thrown, it hit Inyasha's head and knocked him to the ground.

"I do." A small but farely deeper voice reverberated amount the much shorter kids. Sesshoumaru stepped from the crowd calmly and climbed atop the monkey bars. He sat down, and looked around at the kids surrounding him.

"Does anyone dare defy me?" He asked quiety, stark yellow eyes piercing as he looked at the younger kids.

"Who would dare defy him?" someome mumbled.

"He's a fifth grader!" another whispered.

All the kids stared in awe at the older boy, who still sat calmly on the monkey bars as if he hadn't a care in the world... and in truth he did not. He was just a child after all.

Inuyasha sat up from where he had fallen, glaring at his older brother. How dare he embarress him in front of the cute little girl Kikyo. After all, he had been trying to impress her.

"What the heck was that for Sesshoumaru?" he yelled, storming back to the monkey bars to take them over once again.

"I would not try it if i were you, i knocked you down once little brother, and i will do so again if you attempt to come into my kingdom." Inuyasha gaped at him. That boogermonster! He was the worst brother ever.

A little boy, with dark black curls and cold eyes walked up to the monkey bars and gave Sesshoumaru just as chilling as a look as the boy was giving him.

"I am Naraku, I will fight at your side of i can come up there." the boy said in a high and squeaky voice.

"I don't need someone to fight with me. Im all powerful. Shoo." Sesshoumaru made and little shooing gesture with his hands, then closed his eyes and looked as if he was meditating.

Amoungst the crowd, a little girl, Kagome, with big blue eyes and pretty black pigtails watched the whole spectacle. Sesshoumaru was so brave going agaisnt all the other kids.

He was cute too! She giggled to herself... if she wasn't so afraid to get cooties from the older boy, she would go up and talk to him. A cute little blush tinged her cheeks.

Just then Inuyasha brushed past her, almost knocking her to the ground, and flung himself and Sesshoumaru, attempting to impress his lady love Kikyo, who was standing close to the monkey bars his brother sat on.

Inuyasha almost knocked Sesshoumaru off, but with an agility that was very rare in kids, he balanced himself out once again and witha flick of his wrist, Inuyasha went flying off again.

Face first into the ground, Inuyasha mumbled to himself. Kagome giggled, and whispered to herself, "He sure did hit the ground hard."

She glanced back at Sesshoumaru, who once again had his eyes closed. She built up her courage and started to walk toward the monkey bars... cooties weren't all that bad... anyways, Sesshoumaru looked like he needed a friend.

"Uhm... Sesshoumaru... Can i sit up there beside you like your... Uhm... Princess?" She asked timidly, blushing again.

Sesshoumaru opened his eyes and stared down at her. She squirmed under his intense stare.

"Yes you may. A king always needs a princess to protect." he said softly.

Kagome's eyes got wide and she grinned from ear to ear. She climbled up the monkey bars and sat next to him, giving him a big smile. He nodded to her and closed his eyes once again.

And that was how they sat, until the bell ringed for recess to be over.
