Disclaimer: Oh, yeah. Right. I own the Inuyasha characters NOT! Nor do I own Naruto. Yea... he'll be in this one alright.... Ugh. Annoying thing. Nope. Don't own them. I wish. They belong to Rumiko Takahashi. Not Naruto though. He belongs to Masahi Kishimoto. There you go. Now... ENJOY!

It all started with just a cup of coffee...
A girl with midnight black hair and ocean blue eyes sat at a small round table that rose high above the ground. She sat in an equally high chair, typing on a small blue laptop rapidly.
A waitress came around to the black haired girl and pulled out a pen and her notebook to take down the girl's order.
"Coffee, black," the girl stated sharply, still typing away furiously at her computer. She had no time for games with the waitress.
A few moments later, the young waitress came around again, and handed her the cup of dark, hot coffee. The girl was still at work, but decided that a little, "Thank you," had been in order.
The waitress walked away. The girl who had been typing now slowed gradually to a stop, and saved everything she had typed. She then put the laptop away in a case that was meant to keep it from harm.
The girl picked up her cup of coffee. She forgot that the waitress said it was hot, and ended up accidentally throwing it away from her. Unfortunately, a young man with silver hair and golden eyes decided to walk by. He became subject to her accidental coffee-throwing exercise.
"Oh my kami! I am so sorry," the girl with impossibly dark black hair said. She got up to help him. "Really, I am. I'll buy you a new shirt. How much?"
The man looked at her, with a bored expression planted firmly on his face. He replied to her, "There is no need for you to buy me a new shirt."
The girl looked at him like he was out of his mind. "Well, I have to repay you somehow!" She told him, exasperated.
The man smirked slightly, and Kagome looked at him more closely. He had two magenta lines on each side of his face and a dark blue, almost black, crescent moon that sat on the middle of his forehead.
"There is one way you can repay me," the mysterious man told her. "You will come to dinner with me Friday night. I will pick you up at six o' clock sharp."
He turned to leave, but the girl grabbed his arm, causing him to stop. He turned to her. She said softly. "You don't know where I live, or what my name is."
The man turned to her fully. "Where do you live, and what is you name?"
"Higurashi, Kagome," the girl told him. She took out a piece of paper and a pen, and wrote down her address and her cell phone number. She handed it to him. She said simply, "Six."
"Formal wear. Do not be late," the man said. He turned, but hesitated. "Tashio, Sesshomaru."
He walked away, leaving the girl, Kagome, to dwell on her thoughts.

Kagome stood in front of her full-length mirror, looking at herself. She was wearing a lavender dress that flowed down to her ankles. Where it ended, she wore matching lavender heels that tied up her leg half-way.
She wore a coat of clear, shimmering lip gloss. He hair was pulled into a simple high ponytail with a few strands hanging loosely around her golden face.
Kagome had a small handbag to tie everything together, and was finishing up final touches when she heard the doorbell ring. She ran - as best she could in heels - to answer the door.
She opened it to see Sesshomaru looking down at her. His silvery hair was let loose around his frame, and his molten eyes stared into her ocean blue ones. Kagome tore her eyes away from his to look at his outfit.
He was wearing a black suit with a white undershirt and a lavender tie that matched Kagome's dress. It was almost as if he had planned it...
Kagome was ripped away from her musings to head Sesshomaru telling her, "Miss Higurashi, we must be going now."
Kagome was shaken out of her stupor and nodded. She locked the door and then shut his gently. Sesshomaru held out his arm for her to take, even though their limo ride was only a few steps away. She took it gracefully, blushing.
They stepped into the stretch limo, and the driver closed the door behind them. Kagome felt the limo slowly start to pull away from her house, and eventually speed up. She thought this would be the perfect time to ask some questions.
"Sesshomaru," Kagome started. "Why did you ask me to go on a date with you?"
"Simple," he replied. "You spilled coffee on me, and decided you needed to repay me. I didn't need a new shirt, but I did need a date. Here you are, repaying me."
Kagome's mouth formed a small "o." She said, "But that could have been anyone. I could have just bought you a new shirt."
"But I told you I was not in need of one. I decided this was how you could repay me."
Kagome huffed and crossed her arms, looking away from Sesshomaru.
They arrived at a restaurant only minutes later, and Kagome and Sesshomaru stepped out of the limo. Sesshomaru held out his arm for the girl with blue eyes, and she took it. They walked into the restaurant.
"Mr. Tashio," a waiter called to him. "Would you like a nice area on the balcony for you and your lovely lady friend?"
Sesshomaru only nodded, and they were led to a large white balcony. There was only one table that sat in the middle of the balcony, and musicians played a quiet song in the background. Kagome thought it was nice.
They sat in the chairs, facing each other. Kagome was the first to break the silence.
"So, what do you do as a job?" She asked, looking over the menu.
"I own a company that deals with realty," Sesshomaru replied simply.
"Oh." Kagome sounded displeased. She asked another question. "What's it like running a business?"
"Boring," said Sesshomaru. "Very, very boring."
Kagome no longer talked after that. They ordered their meals and ate in silence.

An hour later, Kagome arrived at her doorstep. Sesshomaru stood behind her, waiting for her to get her door unlocked. When she finally did, she turned around to gaze into his amber orbs.
"I had fun," Kagome said quietly. "Thank you."
Sesshomaru looked into her eyes as if he were staring right into her soul. He finally spoke. "It was enjoyable. We must -"
Sesshomaru was interrupted by a young man with bright blonde hair and blue eyes running up to her.
"Naruto," Kagome said, smiling slightly. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to ask," Naruto said, catching his breath, "if I could borrow a cup of sugar. I'm making cookies with my daughter right now."
Kagome smiled wider. "Sure, just one second. I'll be right back."
She disappeared into the house for a few moments, and came back with a bag of sugar in her hands. She held it to him, and he took it.
"Keep the bag. I don't need the sugar. I have a ton of it," Kagome said to him kindly.
"Thanks, Kagome-chan!" Naruto called as he ran back to his house that was only thirty feet away from Kagome's.
She went back to talking to Sesshomaru again. He just stared at her for a few more moments before breaking the spell and talking again.
"We should do this again," he told her smoothly.
"Yeah," Kagome breathed. "Definitely."

One year later, Kagome and Sesshomaru were still going strong. It was the night of their first date; their one year anniversary. Kagome had decided she wanted to cook for Sesshomaru, and had told him to come at seven.
Kagome had the food ready and heated, while she took a shower and slipped on the lavender dress that she had worn that night for him. She hadn't worn it since. Her hair was down, and straightened so the waves did not bother her. She had no make-up on. She knew there would be no point.
The doorbell rang. Kagome walked to the door and opened it to find Sesshomaru staring down at her. He wore the same outfit he had worn for their first date, also. Kagome sighed.
"Hello, Sesshomaru," Kagome said softly. He still managed to take the breath away from her.
"Kagome," he said simply. He walked in, and she shut the door behind him.
"I made spaghetti, if you don't mind," Kagome told him, getting out the food.
"That is exceptional, thank you, Kagome," Sesshomaru told her. His eyes softened slightly, and he smiled a little.
Kagome blushed a light pink and served them dinner. They ate quickly and quietly. Soon after, they were sitting on the couch, side-by-side, watching a movie.
Sesshomaru paused it quickly. "Kagome," he started, "I need to ask you something."
Kagome turned to him. "Anything."
"Kagome..." Sesshomaru pulled something out of his pocket. "This past year has been amazing. You are beautiful, kind, and smart. I love you, Kagome. Will you marry me? Mate me?"
Kagome's eyes started to water. "Sesshomaru..." she whispered. "Yes... yes. A million times, yes. I love you too. So, so much."
Sesshomaru smiled brightly for the first time, truly happy. He kissed her lightly.
Kagome pulled away and murmered something. "And just to think..." she said, panting slightly. "It all started with a cup of coffee."
Sesshomaru kissed her again
