Nice chapter but I'm not at all surprised at the reaction to Kagome. Unfortunately, there are still many places like that in the world. Thanks for a wonderful update.

Poor Sessh. Did Kagome have to wear western dress too? The Western world were a bit arrogant about their status Among other countries. The Asian cultures, with their centuries of learning and culture, must have been amused or insulted by these upstarts. Thanks so much for these terrific updates.

Another great update. Things are changing fast in their world. It’s nice to see them standing together. Japan was closed for so long. I’m reading murder mysteries written by Laura Joh Rowland about a detective during the Hoei era after the earthquake in 1704 that destroyed Edo. I’ve read the first one Shinju and now I’m reading The Concubines Tattoo. They are beautifully written and the details are exquisite. If you haven’t read them you might like them. Thanks again for your wonderful hard work. 

I like the way you handled their loss. Time passes and wounds heal and in a culture where things were sometimes expected to be quietly endured, this was a fitting tribute. Also, welcome to NE Ohio! I grew up in the area though I'm now in bitterly cold central NY.  Anyways, glad to see you back and writing and I hope this new year brings you far better things than the last!

I think you did fine. They are both grieving but their lives go on and they live in turbulent times. She is right and her decision shows that she has come a long way in her healing.
