This first chapter has been on my mind since I read it earlier. You do such a great job of putting me into the shoes of your characters (well, mostly Kagome) and their situations. I think you've done an amazing job portraying what it would have been like to be a female in Kagome's position during that time: she has no real say in her marriage, she is unlikely to be able to get to know her husband before she marries, no (or not likely to have) knowledge of intimacy (as seen while she is trying to learn to waltz), but wanting to do right by her family - old and new. You really got me thinking about the different experiences of women and men then - and how they are often portrayed very differently through modern (romanticized) eyes and experiences.
Sailor Moon new anime is starting on July 5. This story sounds interesting, keep it coming.
What Makes A Dad
God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer run, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it...Dad.
Happy Father's Day!
Next please. . Hope for more romantic drama
I love historical fiction, especially European based!! This is lovely, rephreshing, and different! I like the role reversal between Sesshomaru and Inuyasha and how you have kept their characters, but added little things to make them fit in better with the roles they have here. It's sweet and romantic, a wonderful read. :)
Thank you for participating to my challenge, Kaoru-chan! Looking forward to more! XD
