Awesome double update! So, so happy you were inspired to update back-to-back. :) It's really fun watching Sesshoumaru evolve into his new role as leader of Inuyasha's group. The way he's becoming more attuned to the needs and personalities of his new pack is amusing and believable at the same time.

Oh, I can't wait to see how the "dynamic" between Kagome and Sess will continue to develop! The part at the end where he is thinking over their respective roles as Alpha and Pack Mother was just great - speaking of which, I really love all the pack rules and roles you've been setting up in this story. It's particularly interesting to me how Sess treats Sango with such respect, and I can't help but imagine Kagome mistaking his intentions (well, again), which would be funny as hell.

Anyway, thanks for the new chapters, girl! Love your story - hope you continue to feel inspired!! :)

Ahhha! Your writing is so brilliant. Sesshoumaru is so much sexier than Inuyasha...I love a male who knows what he's doing like Lord Sesshy with the spider youkai. And that moment of jealousy for Sango over Sesshoumaru that Kagome experienced was brilliant! I love seeing updates for this story.

This is such a nice chapter. I'm still wondering where Inuyasha is in all this. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Apologies for the late review! Ah, what a fun chapter!! I lol'd many times at Kagome's inner monologue - "some kind of grisly youkai version of chocolates and flowers" - bahaha, too funny! Everyone is so wonderfully in character. Oh, and I just lurved Kagome's reaction to Inu!Sess's regal look, tee hee. I guess Sesshoumaru can make anything he wears look dead sexy! XD

Just wanna say how much I appreciate all the effort you put into the details - nuances in the dialogue, little things like the spider-silk bag and the vivid descriptions of Sess removing the shard from under the demon's tongue (eww!). Your chapters are short, but I feel like you cover so much ground - and I like the pacing very much! Another great update, Pristine - keep 'em comin'!! :)

I enjoyed reading Kagome's reactions to Sesshomaru's actions in this chapter. I chuckled and smirked the whole way through :)

Wow, it was so cool getting to see Sesshoumaru fighting as a hanyou! He really had to improvise, didn't he? Maybe now he will have an appreciation for how Inuyasha has had to struggle in life (well, relative to him, anyway!). I see so much potential here for Sesshoumaru to grow in character!

That spider queen was naaaasty! :P Loved it when he gave her a blade of blood to the eye, haha! Perhaps my favorite part of the battle scene, though, was when Sesshoumaru had to answer Tetsusaiga's question about why he fights.

Another brilliant update, Pristine - and so soon, too! :) I thought the action was cleverly written and revealed a lot about Sesshoumaru's nature, since he was willing to risk himself for the sake of providing for his pack. Looking forward to Ch.7!!

Bahaha! Oh, Shippou...you've definitely got things figured out! :D So happy to see an update from you, Pristine! This story is as entertaining as ever :) I'm loving Sess in this Alpha role. The way he takes stock of his new pack's clothing and supplies is so very, well, Sesshoumaru-like - efficient and thorough! I always enjoy, too, when Miroku assumes the role of mediator in dealings with Sess, and I like how Sess made Sango his "Right Claw" - loved that, actually! :D

And I have to admit, I'm snickering to myself about the bit of foreshadowing at the end of the chapter. Something tells me that by the end of your story Sesshoumaru is going to have a pretty hard time letting Kagome go. :) :)
