Ok, ya'll, I just have to speak up on this one. I know ya'll are having a hard time with Sessh "replacing" Kagome. He DID NOT do this by choice but by the demands of being the leader who will bring all youkai to having a chance to live into the future.

At the last sentence in Chapter 83 of "The Crash Part !" the Emperor of Japan over the human race gave Sesshoumaru a declaration/ a demand made by his council and cohorts to assure that Youkai would be kept in check by having Sesshoumaru marry his half sister Princess Maemi or there would be no further discussions, no deal between Youkai and Humans. Sesshoumaru told them he was mated and that a mating means so much more to a youkai than a human marriage but the Emperor would not hear any of it. Humans did this all the time according to him and this was his condition. Take it or Leave It!

Now let us more ahead to Chapter 86 of "Signed and Sealed". Here after Sesshoumaru took time to think this over and take care of other things the Emperor and his "council" decided to throw in one more condition to the treaty hoping to secure their hold over Sesshoumaru. Remember when Sessh allowed his overpowering youki to crash down upon the humans during their meeting, he scared the crap out of them and they retaliated by making these demands to try and tie his hands so to speak. Kagome knew that anything could go wrong. Bokuseno spoke of this years earlier.

While Sessh was gone they crafted one sure way to keep him bound to the treaty if he truly wanted peace with their races he would agree and comply to their demands. Marry the Princess Maemi and impregnate her with an heir by the first year's end. Folks, what other recourse did he have? The humans didn't care about his mate or that his people only accept one mate/wife. They probably wouldn't understand or care that this could possibly kill his mate. Their goal was to tie this Youkai down and keep him under their control and here you are damning him for doing what he and Kagome set out to do from the very start.

Was this easy??? NOOOO, by no means Sesshoumaru struggled in the worsed way as did Kagome. Sesshoumaru knew his mate. He knew she wouldn't be able to stay and live with him having to have sex and produce a child with another female. Hell, it grieved and angered him. He didn't want to bring this princess into this and he surely didn't want to bed her when he couldn't devote himeself fully to her. They were both used as pawns by the Emperor but...Sesshoumaru knew one fact that no one save for Kagome and now Tora knew... the Emperor dies and though he has several wives he does not produce any living heirs should he die to pass his kingdom to. Sesshoumaru also knew that if Kagome knew he would use this fact to gain the Emperor's kingdom, she'd be upset as it could change time as we know it.  Sesshoumaru agreed to the Emperor's demands if he could make just ONE of his own since they were asking so much of him and they agreed, begrudgingly, but they agreed.

IF the Emperor dies and has no heirs (and Sessh read this in Kagome's History book)then his entire kingdom and reign will fall to his sister,Princess Maemi and not to any other male relative and knowing that human women didn't rule, it would fall to him and he could make changes in the laws for both Youkai and Human equality. The Emperor agreed as he thought for sure that he would produce an heir and his guards would see to he having a long life too.

Sesshoumaru told the princess time and again that he could not love her as she wanted. It mattered not to him of her needs but per the agreement he would share his body and keep aware of her fertile time and do everything possible not to allow her to become pregnant as hanyou births were very difficult on humans. If she dies, the whole treaty and it's demands will have been for naught and the humans would no doubt blame Sesshoumaru for her death. Humans were very ignorant on matters that did not concern them. Maybe they would have not made the final condition of an heir.

I hope this has helped some and by no means am I trying to flame anyone. But Sesshoumaru was only trying to make the situation easier with thinking of his Kagome during the rutting with the princess. And did he once say any of it was passion filled or loving? He did his duty as husband. He didn't need her starting trouble with the Emperor over this. I'm sure all will work out for the best. Be patient and faithful that our dear writer knows where this is going and is trying to fulfill your worries at the same time.

Awww, how perfect a reunion and very needed. It's all absolutely understandable and though this will be difficult for them all, I think eventually there had to be a reconnection. I don't blame Sesshoumaru in the least. Anyone who blames him hasn't understood the story from the beginning. He never wanted to part from his mate. All of this was planned from the beginning to see that youkai made it to the future and Bokenseno foretold of this parting and they both knew it would eventually happen but still fought to stay together.

How can any woman stand to share their husband with another woman? If you weren't raised this way it's much too heartbreaking even if you know in your mind and heart that your mate has no feeling for the other female, that she is a mere means to an end, it's just too hurtful and it is for him too. He loves his mate and to make matters even harder, she's his soul's mate. They would only be destroying themselves on a daily basis with guilt and regret had they stayed together knowing that Kagome couldn't accept the consumation and an heir from that union. It might have been different if Sesshoumaru didn't have to have sex with the princess. Anyway...

Perhaps, maybe Sesshoumaru can allow the children and Kagome time together now that there's been time to grieve and accept their separation, much like a shared custody in today's time. Perhaps now if he allows the children access to their mother, with expressed condition that the princess is not to be discussed, Aiko can learn to accept what her father has to endure so they and all youkai can live into the future. Maybe Kagome can handle a shared custody now that Sesshoumaru knows of the new pup.

I think Kagome can seriously help her children to understand and to learn to help their father instead of rebelling. Those children could have been seriously hurt what with the snake youkai destroying villages. It was a good thing that Shippo's hormones took him off the path to the Western citadel and he found the pups before anything dangerous happened. I'm sure Sesshoumaru could send a few of his best guards for protection but to be left out sight so as not to upset the villagers.

Oh and they princess should not have gouded the children like she had just because she can't get Sesshoumaru to love her. That woman needs to put herself in Kagome's place and ask herself if she'd want to share her husband with another. Just by the way she's reacting to his confession of love for Kagome and her alone is proof that she wouldn't want to share either. This woman needs a good talking to so she can see just why Kagome left so Sesshoumaru could fulfill his promise to the agreement. She needs a female youkai to inform her that this agreement with the human emperor goes against all inuyoukai laws of mating and just how difficult it makes it that they are soulmates also not just mates. Humans take multible mates/wives as do some youkai, but inuyoukai only take one mate for life and the emperor would not even consider this fact when he made his demands. Maybe someone can talk to her. I also have to wonder if Aiko has damaged her larnyx(sp?) so she won't have speech?

I'd better let this go now, huh? Great work, my friend. I LOVE where you are going with this and that my previous questions and thoughts were easily answered through these last chapters. You are a wonderful, gifted writer. Thanks for the sexual info you added in. So many don't intentionally mean to forget this and you did an amazing job letting young readers who shouldn't be reading this know that pulling out doesn't always mean you can't get pregnant. Those little swimmers who are strong can get to where they want even in the pre cum lubrication.

Sesshoumaru's choice to save his kind over his family maybe right, but in my opinion he is not acting as one Who really loves Kagome. He was fast in replacing her for the princess and even trying to find similarities between them to live more confortable with her. For someone who says that loves only one woman he certainly is not very convincing. he lived with his mate for how long? And just a few times sleeping with another is enough to want to let her go? in my opinion he is very weak minded.

Hi, I read your notes for this latest chapter. When you said that Sess made the right decision, I can understand where you are coming from. However, I disagree respectfully that Sess made the right decision in regard to consumating with the princess. But it is your story and you are most definitely making readers feel a myriad of emotions. GOod Job, as always!!!

I swear everyday I check to see if you've added another chapter and dear lord this story just pulls you deeper and deeper. Another fantastic update!

Good chapter…I am sorry for not writing till now…hmmmmm…a bitter and cold princess will prove deadly, I think…she is going to end up like Sesshomaru’s mother…he is putting off what he agreed too to procreate with the princess…I was wondering if one of the children would do something like this…it will be interesting to see what happens next…when the children leave and Sesshomaru finds out…and the injuries the princess got…

Sesshoumaru, like his father, abandoned his mate and will have a hanyou child with a human princess who will be despized by his/hers half siblings, just like he has done to Inuyasha. This story is quite predictable, but really, I would like to see Kagome happy with someone else less pathetic.

I seriously don't wrong those children from doing what they did, how dare she even try to insult kagome.

Good for the kids!!! Sad as it may sound, I want Sesshoumaru to reap the consequences of his actions. If you do not get them back together, I will still be fine with the story. Kagome deserves happiness, and Sesshoumaru is a fool.

I dont get it. Why do things have to be this way. Why not explain the situation. Im sure the princess would understand. Why make her an enomey? She is hurting too i dont want to hate her. I am starting to. Kagome needs to tell sess that she is pregnant. He has the right to know. This is just more angst.  More uneeded heart break. I thought that was moving to (we just need to deal with it and go forward)
