Dang Eri, found the only potential silver lining in this situation. Kagome should be a little suspicious all these people say they should be together and she's not doing so it's a little obvious that she should be and she's not doing it. I loved it though, can't wait to see what's coming next!
She's speculating on what Toorima is doing there but hasn't stopped to think about why Araki is there? I'm usually a pretty attentive reader, but I don't remember it ever being mentioned where he's from. Although, I don't buy that Houka wouldn't have blabbed something by now if they were only there temporarily also. Hmm... this requires some thinking.
So yeah... usually pretty attentive... I'm a little upset Toorima is showing up here because I didn't see it coming. I'm usually pretty good at spotting red herrings and I had her pegged as one. Seriously, I can't ever read mysteries because I always figure them out way in advance. I had to read Gone Girl recently for work and I kept waiting for the so-called twist, which as far as I'm concerned, never happened, because I figured out the whole thing about 70 pages in.
So yeah, I'm assuming her presence means that Sesshoumaru brought her to Sapporo with him and the fact that she's in a realtor's office means she's moving in with him. Not happy about that, but nothing is ever that simple when it comes to you so I shall continue to be cautiously skeptical, and keep hoping that things aren't as they seem.
Are they packing up her old room in Sesshoumaru's apartment or the one Inuyasha uses when he is in town? I don't know why I think that's important, but I do. The importance depends on whether or not Sesshoumaru has left for Sapporo yet.
No comments from Sess mom? Really? Really? That glare reminds me of Chapter 21 on April 1 when she comes over for dinner and she starts to say, “You have not changed. This one will do nothing less than the other. She will pick a-” and then Sesshoumaru cuts her off before she can finish. I had the suspicion back then that things were not as they seemed and now I'm even more sure of it.
Oh my god! Inuyasha! Okay, seriously, I don't know how you do this. You push me right up to the edge, almost to the point where I can no longer suspend disbelief, and then you pull it back. All I can say is your sense of timing and pacing is impeccable. How do you do it! Seriously. Teach me. Please. So yeah, I guess you just answered most of my questions from the previous chapter. Although, now I'm wondering how much longer it's going to be before she gets her head together and remembers that he's going to be in Sapporo as well, to work on that new project.
It seems she hasn't made as much progress on that cognitive dissonance as I had hoped. I hope Inuyasha does more to help her than just yelling at her. She's so vested in the idea that she doesn't need a relationship, it's going to take more than Inuyasha going off on her to snap her out of it.
At least she has come to the realization that she was in love with him...correction still is in love with him. She really should talk to him. At least to clear the air a bit. She doesnt truly know how he felt about her or still feel about her. By the way love Inuyasha in this.
Har har, I know what seed you're talking about ^__^ I can't wait to see how this goes. *evil laugh*
I'm not really understanding why she's so sure he's already with someone else. She only has his mother's word on it, and it's not exactly like she's an objective observer. Even if he is with Toorima, it just seems so obvious that he'd only be doing what his mother wants out of some sense of obligation.
Also, how has the pack not noticed that she's gone? She's not that good. I can get Inuyasha not having a clue, but Shippou definitely should have noticed she's not been in the building recently. Is Sesshoumaru covering for her or what? I'm having a hard time believing that none of them have tried to at least call her by now.
Good to see she's working through some of that cognitive dissonance.
This must stop, someone has to hand cuff them together because by this rate, I will die.
Also welcome back and I missed you
Welcome back! I've been net-less recently and I feel like a kid on Christmas coming back to all these chapters. I hope everything is OK and that your mom is doing better.
Okay, so since you've acknowledged she's in Sapporo I figure I can blab all I want in the reviews now about my theories! Anyone who hasn't figured it out by now needs to go back and the Moon Day chapter more carefully! The suspense is making me crazy wondering when they are going to run into each other in Sapporo. I figure it has to happen, otherwise you wouldn't have dropped that hint back on Moon Day.
Anyway, new speculation... I'm thinking Araki being in Sapporo as well isn't a coincidence. But is it related to Sesshoumaru's new project there or is he spying? If he's spying, is he spying on Kagome?
"Made something for your new place, and the world decided to give you one when it was finished."
This flew right over my head... what?
Why is Kagome being soooooo stubborn? For the love of all that is holy please put me out of my misery. I don’t think I can take too much more of Kagome and Sesshomaru not being together.
