I hope that Sesshoumaru kills Naraku.  Even though I have to admit I wish that Kagome would.  Maybe that would prove to Sesshoumaru that she is more than just a voice.  Thank you for the update!

I am thankful that Kikyo has not supplanted Kagome in Sesshomaru's regard...  She seems to continue to increase in stature in his life...

I'm glad that Sesshoumaru is still taking care of Kagome, even if he is obsessed with Kikyo.  Thanks for the update!  Hope you can post again soon.

What were Sesshou's thoughts on the performance that Kagome and Kikyou gave? Does Kagome really have any reason to be jealous of Kikyou? And what does Inuyasha think of their singing? I look forward to another performance so keep up the good work and update soon :P

That must be agony! I've been in Kagome's position before, feeling as if my one talent has been so easily eclipsed by another person's achievement. I suppose from Kagome's POV the talent that gives her worth in Seshoumaru's eyes has been devalued by Kikyou's similar talent. You really make me empathise with her. It's so hard not to be envious in that position.

Does Sesshoumaru even care how he's hurting Kagome?  Or is he so enraptured by Kikyo that he no longer cares for Kagome's feelings.  She must feel that if Sesshoumaru is able to get Kikyo to stay he would sell her to someone else.  Poor Kagome.  Please post more soon.

Another reason I (and I bet many of us) identify so strongly with Kagome.  That perception of always being tested.  Judged.  It's one of the things that comes up over and over in the manga, even more than the anime, and I get stressed on Kagome's behalf every time it happens.  The episode where Kagome has to climb the stairs to that temple to get the bow to save Kikyo was a terrible one.  You did a good job dredging up that nasty feeling I get every time Kagome goes through this.  It is hard because in the original story, Kagome is tied to InuYasha, and can't break free and go somewhere she will be able to be appreciated for the amazing young woman she is, she is stuck in this neverending rivalry with someone who should be dead...  In "The Nightengale", she is in the same boat.  She is a slave, and it's not like she can just quit Sesshomaru.  Obviously, there is some emotional suffering ahead for Kagome.  Thank goodness she didn't give in when Sesshomaru tried to be intimate with her, that would have made it even worse...

Oh no!!! Just when some problems are being resolved, new ones arise! I suppose it's the mark of a good story. You always keep me hanging on :)

I feel the same fear Kagome is feeling! I would go try and read the Hans CA version to satisfy my curiosity, but given his "happy ending" history ('Little Mermaid' anyone?) I suppose I'll leave it to you. Very interesting turn of events and totally unexpected. 

I love the characterizations of this fanfiction and am glad you update often. Usually, I'm not partial to AUs. I find most authors use an AU as an excuse to write OC, but you never do which keeps me coming back for more.

I think Kikyou and Kagome should perform together more often, don't you agree? And what are Sesshou's feelings/intentions toward our sweet Kagome? I look forward to seeing what the guys think of their combined performance. Keep up the good work and update soon :P

Kagome is a jewel in her own right. It's just up to Sess to figure out exactly what he wants and for him to come out and say it.

Oh no, is Sesshoumaru already tired of Kagome?  I hope that he doesn't try to take Kikyo from Inuyasha, especially after they are finally starting to get along.  Poor Kagome, to love but never to be loved in return.  Sad update!

I guess it's a good thing that Kagome came into Sesshou's life... but I wonder what she is to him. Is Kagome just a form of entertainment? A friend? Or something more? I hope to see their relationship bloom. Keep up the good work and update soon :p

Sweet update!  I think Sesshoumaru is smart to use Kagome to carry forth his plan of peace with Inuyasha.  She seems to have the ability to calm those around her.  Will she be able to help save the village from Naraku?  Can't wait for more!
