I really enjoyed this story about the demon lord and the witch. Kagome is clever, but Sesshomaru really got distracted by the pretty witch because he could have been a lot more specific.

And really, in one fell swoop she softened him enough to not kill her afterwards, like other people would do in her place. I can only imagine so many giving him a cursed sword that would eventually turn on him, an obsessed servant that would do as he says to the letter and killing or torturing others on perceived wants from their lord and finally "my ascendancy to be absolute, now and forever"... Jeez, he should be thankful Kagome would never twist that because that can give a total curse, like turn him into a translucent spirit, give him immortality or even place an enchantment so wherever he goes no one can interact with him because of some kind of compulsion in a radius around him. Hell, she can even make him 'ascend' to godhood and clean her hands from the blame, making him deal with a bunch of very wrathful divine beings far older than him angry at this mortal upstart.

Either way, it truly was sweet.
