Omg this just hit me hahaha this is me just thinking far ahead into the story but this is what i thought: the last sentence kagome said made me think that what if sesshoumaru's wish is to find someone to love and if he finds that in kagome then his wish has basically been granted but then once his wish has been granted he wouldn't need the shop anymore so he wouldn't be able to see her anymore ;_; NOOOOOO!! Haha but these are just my thoughts sooo yeah haha

More and more intruiging...

This is quite a delightful story so far! Although I'm not familiar with Pet Shop of Horrors and xxxHolic, the names of both titles and their characters do ring a bell. I am enjoying the pacing in each drabble, and I appreciate how you manage to provide enough information in your descriptions without being too wordy. There's also a great balance of imagery and dialogue without one overtaking the other, which can sometimes end up being more tedious than helpful or even useful. I absolutely adore Kagome's formal introduction and Sesshoumaru's observation of "her bright blue eyes sparkling like sunlight on seawater." Just a beautiful use of words. I don't think my attention has been caught by prose like that in a very long time. Having said that, I'm a huge fan of your writing style! :)

In regards to the plot, I find myself just as intrigued as Sesshoumaru about the mysterious shop and its tenants. The shop's location reminds me a bit of 12 Grimmauld Place, and its function seems like the Room of Requirement from Harry Potter, except that our dear Lord of the West apparently has no idea what he wants yet. I love the push and pull of having some of his questions answered with such obscurity that it's borderline frustrating (for Sesshoumaru's sake) but also exciting at the same time. It's interesting how Kagome and adult!Shippou have pointed out his budding intrigue, but I get the impression that they're just as curious about his presence, given his prestigious title. It's a wonderful dynamic.
