I owe a lot to Rumiko Takahashi, the creator of Inuyasha.  I have followed her works throughout the original anime since its airing on Adult Swim in 2001.

When the show stopped airing at episode 167, I started reading the manga until its completion in early 2008. ( or 07? can't quite remember for sure )

Between that and the time it took for the show to be green-lit by Viz Media for a new animated volume, I started reading fanfictions.

I liked to talk about Inuyasha in depth but couldn't seem to find a mature enough forum that lacked the constant teen-fights of Kagome vs. Kikyo.  So I started Inuyasha for Adults on Myspace, a group to talk about Inuyasha only for people over the age of 18.

Unfortunately, a lot of people thought 'Inuyasha for Adults' meant incredibly inappropriate material.  This was not my intention, but it's funny never the less.

But I digress.  It was through this group I created that someone suggested I start reading fan fictions.  The first one I ever read and I will never forget the name or author that wrote it: The Lucky Ones by Terri Botta ( I might have splotched the last name. )  It was a sweet Inu/Kag fic that was very well written.  I must have read it 10 more times before I realized there were MORE stories like this one out there, several, in fact.

Thus, I became lost in the world of fanfiction, to find myself back in the fantastic world of rugged landscapes; waterfalls, rivers, lakes, hot springs, all still mostly untouched by man.

Miles and miles of dense foliage, old trees, rice fields, common villagers, and the Shinto demon tribes that roamed free and numerous.

Of sunny days and warm nights spent camping out on the open terrain, nothing but the earth and its rough elements to meet your eyes.

Of human women and men possessing holy powers in order to defend themselves or others against a demonic attack.  Monks and priestesses trained in combat, sutras, spells, incantations, blessings, protecting, and healing.

A time of war and suffering; villages are regularly destroyed.  Families are torn apart by death and mutilation.  Orphaned children wander aimlessly, struggling to survive or meet someone kind enough to take them in.

Humans and Demons fighting for control over the other, each vying for dominance with their own blood.

The imagination roams freely at the notion of demonic society, culture, and etiquette. The window is open for our own minds to decide with Rumiko's Inuyasha and I love it.

I developed a fascination with archery from watching this show, how could I not?! Between Kikyo's Long bow and Kagome's Composite, I was hooked.

My grandfather gave me one of his so I could practice, it's a composite bow like Kagome's only it's left handed.  I'm not left handed but I'm practicing anyway in the hopes of eventually being capable of shooting with both.  It's a difficult talent to develop and it takes a lot of patience, especially when you're using the wrong hand but watching, writing, and reading Inuyasha related things helps to keep me motivated.

I hate fics that depict Kagome as this weak little thing that can't protect herself or summon her powers or fire an arrow, for crying out loud.  It's really OOC and I can't stand it.

I started out on Inu/Kag, but quickly got hooked to Sess/Kag with the fic, "This Sesshomaru Needs Not a Mate."  I highly recommend this story to Inuyasha fiction readers that have not given the pairing a chance yet.

I write a little here and there.  I find myself torn between reading fics and writing them quite often and it gets difficult because I typically like to keep them separate in one day.
